I LOVED my 3-day stay!! The studio was so homey and comfortable. Best bed I slept into during my 4-week trip. Paolo is very caring, nice and personable. He prepared some complimentary goodies for me to enjoy - which is rare and such a nice touch as I hadn’t eaten all day and arrived late after a long drive. The studio is easy to access with parking nearby and a great location to explore Essaouira by feet.

I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else in Essaouira! I have been here 3 separate times for a total of over 2mos and it's always great. This last time, I stayed on the first floor in the 3-bed girls' room and it was wonderfully comfortable. Each floor has its own bathroom and well-organized kitchen. The first floor also has the hostel's living room and it's a great place to eat a meal or relax and watch a movie. The staff at Welkam is unbeatable. The hostel is insanely clean and any issues that ever arise are dealt with immediately. Kamal has really used his life experience all around the world to create something special in Essaouira. Make sure to try the bread shop around the corner as their bread is the absolute best! 😁
