We were visiting Carnac to see the archaeological sites and the campsite could not have been better located - literally opposite the main site. We weren't expecting much from a campsite in winter and understandably it was very quiet and there were a lot of facilities that were not open such as the swimming pools and sports facilities; but as far as comfort goes it was great. Lovely countryside surroundings. Heating that really worked well and very hot water. We thought the cabin with double bedroom, single plus bunk bed room, powerful shower, banquette living/dining/kitchen space and terrace was cosy, very clean and value for money. There was everything we needed from toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans to numerous board games and dvds. We were notified in advance that there weren't permanent sheets for the beds but were disposable ones. We decided to take our own, and our own duvets/pillows so can't comment on those. We didn't see any reception staff - check in was just a matter of collecting the keys and getting security codes but communication was very clear and we received texts checking all was okay and whether we needed any assistance. You are required to clean when you leave or an additional charge will be made; but this wasn't an issue. Overall it was a great little cabin in an incredible location with all that we needed. I cannot comment on what it's like during high season but for our trip for a family of 4 it was perfect. We had torrential rain the whole week and it was a comfortable little cocoon to chill out in after a day's soggy walking.

The location from the menhirs was a 5 minute walk and the nature was beautiful. The caravan was clean. The campground was empty in late April, so very quiet...we could hear owls at night.
