Brilliant location right on the seafront and in the middle of the town close to everything via walking.
Loved staying at the historic hotel. So interesting to learn about its history. Has a bar and restaurant that serves beautiful food. Lots of character with function rooms.

Has all expected facilities associated with a good quality resort. Close to centre of town in a quiet area. It was our wedding anniversary and complimentary drinks at dinner were much appreciated.

Staying at the Nightcap Hotel Victor was within a short walking distance of the main street for Cafes, takeaway food and shops . A short distance to Granite Island Causeway which you can walk over to the Island or catch the Horse drawn tram which is a wonderful experience for young and old. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Museums and the train Station for the Tourist train to Goolwa and Back. Victor Harbor is a good base to drive and explore the close towns of Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton and also the Fleurieu peninsula.

Lovely town with gorgeous buildings.
Lovely town with gorgeous buildings. Easy to walk around lots of restaurants and cafes. I recommend going to the information centre in town, we found the staff super helpful. The scenery is beautiful, if you have a car there are plenty of lovely drives and small towns around Victor Harbor. We were there in April so recommend bring jackets and umbrellas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We did the train to Goolwa, it was ok just disappointed the steam engine wasn’t running.
We had takeaway at Noodle Bento in the main shopping centre, delicious! Chicken Laksa and Mongolian Beef, thumbs up!
Nino’s for coffee and their egg and bacon rolls another thumbs up!

Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit.
Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit. We walked to Granite Island and around the main part of town. They had the Artisan markets plus the general Sunday markets which are always fun to visit .
Even though it was a long weekend the supermarkets were opened if you needed to purchase anything
Dinner at Nino's did not disappoint, beautiful food and great service

Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week, busy on weekends as tourists flock into the area.. local pubs and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets. The location offers many activities for families and all ages.. beaches, fishing, hiking. Several coastal townships nearby - literally 5 minutes away to drive, with so much history to explore. Regular local markets and activities, fun runs, art displays in the park, walks across to Granite Island, and much more... all free - with a few boat rides and train rides and even camel rides at reasonable prices.
If you like the quiet atmosphere, skip school holidays.. but if you are OK with the friendly busy vibe.. plenty to enjoy for all.. sideshow rides and park stalls go up in busier times - ofcourse, the horse tram to the Island is a staple for all to enjoy.

Victor Harbour is a beautiful seaside location on the Fleurieu Peninsula offering plenty of walks, beach strolls and parks for picnics or relaxing. The historical tramway is a fun way to access Granite Island - where further scenic walks are available - or access by the causeway is also a good option. The Cockle Train rides between Victor Harbour and Goolwa are nostalgic and fun and allow you to hop on and hop off to enjoy Port Elliott and Middleton along the way.
There are plenty of accommodation options, shops to browse, coffee shops and eateries for a variety of food. The town also has medical services, major supermarkets, hardware stores and other service providers. Other interesting places to see on the Peninsula are accessible by car. A great place to holiday!
It was in the heart of Victor, right across the road from the beach and a very, very, very short walk to the main shopping precinct and Granite Island. Huge comfy bed and very effective air conditioning. Room was immaculately clean. The room had everything we needed. We ate in the bistro and the food was good and competitively priced. There was onsite guest parking. Great spot to stay to explore Victor Harbor and the surrounding towns and sights.
The McCracken Country Club hotel room offers a comfortable and worthwhile stay, providing excellent value for money. The room is notably clean and well-arranged, creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests. The friendly staff adds to the positive experience, offering warm hospitality and assistance when needed. The hotel also boasts good facilities, enhancing the overall stay and ensuring guests have a satisfying and enjoyable visit.
Beautifully appointed, spacious room. Foxtel tv - lots of channel options. We chose a studio room that stated there was no view but we were on the corner and did have an ocean view (albiet not a full view). Free laundry facilities. Had to but washing powder from reception but only $3.00. Close to Victor Harbor. Option for food delivery. Must recommend Primo restaurant - food delicious and huge plus they delivered.
Everything was very good. The room was large, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean, it was quiet and the views were nice from the park view room.
10% discount on anything purchased from the bar/restaurant. Room service no extra charge.
Best part was the staff. Friendly, extremely helpful, accommodating and pleasant.
Lovely place to stay.
Heritage hotel that has not been updated. We had a Seaview Room with Spa - located upstairs and no lift available. Room was acceptable given the age of the hotel. Strange slatted folding door between the bedroom and bathroom. View from the balcony was excellent - across the water. Free on-site parking was good. Staff at reception were good.
As much as I'd love to write a bad review to keep Seascape a secret. it's impossible to do. Seascape was everything we thought it would be and more. Absolutely a must visit if you're travelling down the peninsula. The room was big, spacious, clean and comfortable. Thanks to Mark and Tracey for sharing their little piece of heaven with us.
Marilyn was a gracious host, the cooked breakfast was fantastic and her concern when I mentioned I wasn’t feeling well was greatly appreciated. the room was spacious and comfortable. I liked the location and it’s proximity to Victor Harbor. it was peaceful and gave me sone much needed downtime
Lovely B&B on the outskirts of Victor Harbor. Room overlooks a stunning garden full of birds. Nice Hosts who provided us with a great continental style breakfast on the patio. They equipped us with maps & tips for Victor Harbor.
We saw some kangaroos on the way to their B&B.
Just what we wanted, a typical modest motel in terms of features, clean, comfortable and good staff. Good value for a tourist location like Victor Harbor. In the CBD so walking distance to, most attractions.
Lovely room. Spacious enough. Mostly clean. Beautiful quality Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash. Comfortable bed. Best pillows in all the places I've stayed. Clean crisp sheets. 🥰👍🏾
The keypad on the door was great. No need for keys. It was located in the heart of Victor Harbor close to shops and restaurants. The room was very clean.
