Nice and bright, beautiful view of the harbour and Bay of Fundy from both our room and private little porch. Comfy bed and delicious and generous breakfast. Loved sitting outside in the yard watching the boats. Also appreciated the quality Kleenex and toilet paper.

Regarding the Motel- Here’s a few things that we really liked: the Annapolis Royal Inn is located just a short drive from town, free parking, friendly staff, temperature of room- excellent, great bedding, the shower velocity (excellent), and a nice breakfast, Just a couple of things to mention that weren’t so great: two gobs of gum on the floor by the bedside table and a broken toilet handle. Gave me a feeling of “sub standard”. But these things are hopefully addressed because everything else was good.
Now the town: we keep going back and love this place. It is beautiful, historic, so friendly. Go visit the exceptional staff at ARCH&PO. It is our new favourite. The staff are so friendly. Every food item - EXCELLENT! What an absolute jewel. The Saturday market is just lovely. The river never disappoints. The drive to Victoria Beach is beautiful through Granville Ferry. However our one huge disappointment was the restaurant Called “Crow’s Nest”. The worst fish and chips ever. The fries were over-cooked and the fish was unbelievable. Supposed to be 2-pieces. The fish was the thinnest, unbattered, fishiest, unpalatable fish I have ever experienced. Disgusting. We were looking forward to this place. But - we will never go back.

It was a beautifully appointed Inn. Kevin and Lesley were warm and welcoming and excellent cooks. The breakfasts were yummy! They were very informed about the historic significance of the area and offered many suggestions on where to visit and dine. We had a wonderful time visiting with them.

If you have been to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, I can tell you this town reminded me of that town very much. Very old, charmingly beautiful and well-preserved. A gem, with walking trails and a charming downtown. We tried to find a gluten-free restaurant for dinner, but being Sunday, our choices went down to zero. We drove a half hour to Digby to dine at the Fundy Restaurant which we knew to have an extensive gluten-free menu, and a great view of the harbour.
If you are looking for a restaurant in Annapolis Royal, be sure to make reservations in advance. The historic, old hotels are also highly in demand, so you need to make reservations well in advance.

A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes.
A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes. Founded in 1604, it is the first permanent European settlement in North America north of St. Augustine, Florida. It's located on the Annapolis River, which flows in from the Bay of Fundy, so it has some impressive tides. For its size, there are quite a few attractions, including historic gardens and Fort Anne, a 17th-century fortress.

The Lark and Loon is a beautiful century old home in excellent condition and wonderfully furnished by the host Kevin and Lesley. Our bedroom (The Annapolis Room) was large and comfy. We had full access ton the living room, den and screened porch. Definitely one of the best B&B's we have visited over the years. Breakfast was delicious. Annapolis Royal is a lovely town. We enjoyed our brief stay. We had dinner at the Whiskey Teller restaurant in town as suggested by Kevin. Great recommendation.
This is a beautiful establishment across from Fort Anne and a short walk to the main streat. The owners/operators are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. The food was incredible, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was incredibly clean. Please note that this hotel may not be appropriate for people with mobility issues as we were on the third floor up several sets of stairs. I highly recommend staying at the Garrison Inn.
The inn itself is very elegant. Room 11 was spacious and easy to access on the ground floor with a side entrance door. Plenty of parking. Sites were walkable from inn. Breakfast was 8 am or 9 am and was excellent, eggs any style with choice of bacon or ham, toast or french toast/waffles beautifully prepared. Juice options, great brewed coffee. Muffins were yummy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I'm a bit of a sucker for heritage buildings, so I quite enjoyed the Garrison House (which was originally built in the 1850s, if I recall correctly?), and my room looked right out onto the remains of Fort Anne, for a lovely ramble just across the street. The innkeeper was friendly and very accommodating in helping me get my bearings as someone traveling without her own car. Breakfast was lovely!
A beautifully restored house filled with Victorian antiques and interesting art including pottery works by the current owner.
Breakfasts were outstanding!
The location in Annapolis Royal is excellent with easy access to a number of good dining options. The town itself is of historic interest and has many heritage buildings. The nearby Historic Garden is superb.
Our stay was perfect in every way. Leslie and Kevin were so friendly and welcoming. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas with soft music playing throughout and has a lot to offer historically as you step back in time to a different era with it's furnishings and decor. Breakfast was delicious, and served in the formal dinning room.
Room and ensuite were comfortable, clean and though not spacious, just fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast was delicious and we spent some time in the common rooms relaxing. Great location, with easy access to Annapolis Royal by foot. Whole house nicely decorated with lots of interesting things to peruse. I would stay here again.
It is an older inn with many modern updates. Right now they give you a bagged breakfast, which had a hard boiled egg, juice, cereal bar and cheese. They had my price messed up but honoured my booking.com price and apologized. You have your own entrance which is nice, it was very quiet and the beds were super comfy.
Couldn't say more about the loction of The Bailey House, you can walk to everything in town and you are right at the water for amazing sunsets. The breakfast was wonderful and the host was very welcoming, even helping us with a dinner reservation on our first night. Overall I would highly reccomend the property.
Lazlo and Katie have created a wonderful welcoming, calm and comfortable stay. The double room is very spacious. The breakfasts were phenomenal‼ Three courses every morning from 8:00 to 9:30.
The Inn is well located. Across the street from the Historical Gardens and Fort Ann. An easy walk to everything else.
Queen Anne Inn is a beautiful house, elegantly furnished, and really comfortable. It’s a short and interesting walk into town and to Fort Anne. Laszlo, and his wonderful chef wife - the hosts - are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.
Beautiful heritage house on the waterfront in the centre of Annapolis Royal with a pleasant lawn by the waterside where you can relax in comfortable chairs. Our host was hospitable and helpful and has preserved the spirit of the house as it was built.
It was a real treat to stay in such a historic inn. The bedroom and common rooms were beautifully decorated. The manager was very friendly and always addressed me by name. Breakfast was fantastic. Locale excellent for walking to the local sights.
Exceptional B&B. Engaged and highly informative innkeeper with an excellent breakfast that I would gladly pay for. He makes the best omelettes I have ever had before.
Bed was very comfortable and the house was well decorated as a whole.
It’s a lovely house in a lovely location — we’ve been there three times. The restaurant is very good — it’s unusual to find such a good restaurant (or any restaurant at all really) in an historic inn
Location was excellent. We walked everywhere. Historic Gardens next door and Fort Anne one block away. Downtown was just down the street and it was nice to be able to go out for dinner and walk home.
