We travelled to enjoy dinner at THE COOK SHOP, a restaurant my husband likes but we also enjoyed driving around some of the neighborhoods, especially little Italy. GREAT coffee and pastries at Gina Cafe & Bar. We would be regulars there. The coffee was terrific and the Pastries were extraordinary. The ambience was great too as was the service. Wish we lived closer.
We visited Belle Isle on the way home and that was terrific too.

It has a very nice park area along the Detroit River, with many walking paths. Being across the river from Detroit a person has many opportunities to go to Detroit for sporting events, concerts or anything else one can think of.

We can’t really complain we had a great time. The only complaint I have is the cost was high for a one night stay and the wifi wasn’t working the greatest. Overall it was a great time and we would love to return in the future

We took this trip on the recommendation of an article in the Toronto Star of a weekend trip to Windsor (we live in Toronto) and I agree that it's an ideal place to explore for a weekend. Stay on the riverfront near downtown if possible, it's a great view and downtown store and restaurants are in easily walkable distance. Take a river cruise for an overview of both the Windsor and Detroit waterfronts. Learn about the history of Canadian whisky at the Hiram Walker and Sons distillery and tour the adjacent planned city of Walkerville set up in the 1980s. Sample Windsor-style pizza (we liked Armando's). Jackson Park is beautiful, and visit Dieppe Gardens (with the historic Spirit of Windsor steak locomotive and the Windsor Sculpture park along the river front.

We were booked to Stay in Windsor for 3 nights. We left after 2.
Our trip there was for a concert and to have fun at the casino. The casino was the most underwhelming casino I have ever been to. Didn't really explore much of the city but from what we did see, it was definitely way more terrible than I was expecting. Most of the people we met though were very nice and friendly. And the couple bars we visited were great, which were Eastwoods Grill and the Loose Goose. Staff at both places were top notch!

The hotel room were very nice and comfortable.
The hotel room were very nice and comfortable. It would have been helpful if there had been some information in the room regarding restaurants and food services at the hotel. A map of the facility is needed in the room, I understand there is pool but it was not referenced on any of the signs throughout the facility. At least not on the first or second floors.
Owner is so greedy or so cheap . They don't even put tea in the room .
And the room is so sp do dirty..
There's poo or shit on the wall in the bathroom and on the bathroom door
And the room is full with ants & bugs and flies and the room is the worst i ever seen in my life and I saw so many motels and hotels in my life but this one is really the worst and is not worth $20 and if I could I will give them -10 stars . minus 10 stars .
The location. Front desk people. Cafeteria and housekeeping are good. The food there is excellent. Their breakfast is fantastic. The only reason I rated it 8 is because it's a bit old and needs some renovation to look new. Otherwise, it's a great company. I always pick comfort in lm when I go anywhere to travel. They are not cheap and low rated. They take good care of their customers.
Excellent hotel located along the waterfront park in Windsor. The waterfront park area is a great place for a stroll as you view the Detroit skyline across the river. An easy walk to restaurants and bars.
The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were helpful and efficient.
It's a cheap hotel which gives you the bang for the back you pay. It's nothing fancy but it was clean, the AC worked well, and we had no issues, really. If I needed to do a stop-over in Windsor (which was the case), I'd certainly consider this spot again.
The room was large enough so we did not feel cramped, the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The lighting was good and the heating and cooling was great. Everything was in walking distance local pubs, restaurants and casino.
After a credit card rejection that we corrected and you confirmed, they gave away are rooms. Every hotel in Windsor was full and we ended up at a fleabag motel that was disgusting. Thanks for nothing. Horrible experience!!!!!
Private oasis in Windsor! Immaculate interior, spacious layout, and cozy living room. Convenient location with shops and restaurants nearby. Attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Perfect for families!
The location was exactly what we wanted. We were away from the tourist trap area by the Casino, but within a 10 to 15 minute drive of everything we wanted to do. Hotel was clean and front desk staff friendly.
The hotel's location and view were excellent. Additionally, all of the restaurants and attractions were only a short drive from the hotel, and the staff was courteous and competent. The cookies taste good too
Our hosts Sue & Troy were very friendly and accommodating. Great location only one block from the water in one direction and one block from downtown dining in the other direction. Very comfortable room.
panoramic view of downtown detroit was fabulous, especially at night. logged onto boatnerd.com to identify and monitor shipping traffic as it moved past.
