The building is beautiful, and I loved the rooms and the restaurant. The owners even allowed me to park my motorcycle in the private garage at the rear. Lovely, I will book in the future.

Able to check in from 1pm onwards. Owners very helpful. Secured (uncovered) courtyard with enough space to store about 4 motorcycles. Only several bedrooms. A communal kitchen / diner to make your own drinks/food. Ensuite room very clean, warm & functional, but more like a YHA / hostel standard - perfect for a slightly bedraggled biker. Nice ""typical french" bar downstairs, which didnt serve food but also didnt stay open late.
Location just round the corner from the beautiful old part of town. Plenty enough places to eat nearby, in walking distance.

What an enchanting place! It was like being in a cozy attic at Hogwarts and such comfortable beds and sofa. We LOVED all the little treasures around the place and watched a Harry Potter movie on the comfy leather sofa. The place had everything we needed plus more! The owners were so helpful and kind (over phone and text) and did everything to make our stay an exceptional one. Thank you!

Lovely small town in the middle of French countryside.
Lovely small town in the middle of French countryside. Definitely visit Vezelay monastery nearby while you are at the area, and Avallon Old Church too. An active small town, every day something happening there. Very safe, with beautiful architecture and good restaurants.
An amazing apartment to stay in the area and in the city center of Avallon.
Suitable for families who wish to make trips and see the nature since it has many beds and facility. Everything is new and comfortable. Cristiine and Bernard were extremely helpful and supportive. They decorated the apartment to feel home and cozy. We stayed for 2 nights and the kids didn’t want to go:-)
Highly recommended.

THIS HOTEL HAS A CHARMING LOCATION BESIDE A RIVER AND IT HAS A LARGE MILL WATER WHEEL TO ADD TO THE CHARACTER OF THE HOTEL - IT HAS A OLD FASHIONED CHARM
Great old school French Hotel/Restaurant. The location is spectacular next to a rushing stream. We actually spotted this on our honeymoon in the 1980,s and came back to recreate the magic. The gourmet dinner on the terrace was sensational as well as the completely appointed breakfast in the morning. We totally recommend this an experience at Le Moulin Des Ruats.
The place is just a piece of heaven. Calm city and lovely people. The place is confrontibg a river with plenty of trees so imagine the relaxation you feel when hearing the river sound or smiling the very fresh air. The decoration of the hotel is so cozy and unique. The restaurant is serving delicious food. Also, the staff were so lovely.
Well, it's a tremendous location, and it's a lovely old mill building with the wheel still in place. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a reasonable size. Avallon, two miles away, is a lovely large old village with lots to see. You can get some good walking from the hotel, though you have to look for that for yourself.
Amazing all round, couldn't fault anything at all, superb breakfast, extremely friendly staff, this will be the stop over we will now always use when travelling from Rotterdam to SW France.
Great location just off the main town square. Everything is within walking distance. Avallon's market is wonderful. The accommodations and decor in this lovely home was perfect.
Very nice people, I felt like a part of the family! The meal was also very good, the room simple but clean and big enough. I loved this old house and it's charme.
A lovely old manor house in the beautiful countryside, close to Avallon. The room was good sized and well equipped. Our hosts were wonderful and the food superb.
Good dinner, sat outside on the terrace. Free parking, around the back of the hotel. Comfy room with huge bathroom. Good base for exploring the Morvan.
