Château Le Cagnard, hotel in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Set in a beautiful 13th-century building, Château Le Cagnard is located on the hilltops of the medieval village of Cagnes-sur-Mer. Guests can enjoy the sea views, the furnished terrace and the garden....

We had stayed here many years ago and were looking forward to returning. We were not disappointed. We were very kindly upgraded to a beautiful spacious bedroom with a small balcony. Dinner in the restaurant on the open terrace was very good. The Sisteron Lamb was delicious and also the perfumed carpaccio dessert. The reception staff were so kind and helpful with recommendations. We can’t thank enough the lovely young lady who personally drove us down to meet our taxi to the airport which was unable to reach us in time due to extreme weather which had caused a very bad traffic jam. Thank you again! If you are looking for a tranquil stay away from the crowds we would definitely recommend Chateau Le Cagnard. There are also a couple of nice friendly restaurants in the village square with a good menu choice.

Tiercé Hotel, hotel in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Tiercé Beach Hotel is located facing the sea and the Côte d'Azur racecourse, only 4 km away from Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport. Free Wi-Fi access is provided in the contemporary guest rooms.

The hotel is located 2 minutes from the beach and the busy promenade. The room was practical with a large wardrobe, a small sitting area and a balcony. The room had an A/C, which also had a heating function. The room could be fully darkened with electric shutters. I liked its location due to its proximity to the sea and its easy access. It's worth mentioning that there were nearby dinner options, a couple of restaurants and cafes are in easy walking distance. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.

Hôtel Restaurant Brasilia, hotel in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Hôtel Restaurant Brasilia is located on the French Riviera, right between Nice and Cannes. It is just steps away from the beaches, city centre and the hippodrome.

Very well maintained and clean rooms with lovely terraces and comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities would be welcome. Location is ok for the beach as well as the old town up the hill, good considering you aren’t paying for beachfront views. Helpful staff, good value for money and overall a nice stay.

Charmant appartement bord de mer, Plage, hotel in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Set in Cagnes-sur-Mer, 500 metres from Beach du Port and less than 1 km from Serre Beach, Charmant appartement bord de mer, Plage offers air conditioning.

From a position standpoint, the apartment is perfect. I was @ the local Hyppodrome for a wine fair - so it's a 3 minutes commute from there by car. Not sure about the time walking, but it cannot be much more than 15 minutes (if it is). So even if you had a few ones too many and cannot drive, it's very manageable to get there :) It's 50 metres from the seaside, just around the corner of the street that runs along the coastline. Very clean, ample, all the comforts you may wish for and possibly more. The fact it's not exactly on the promenade ensures that you can sleep sound - no hinderance from the night movida. There is a wide choice of restaurants and you can even decide to cook by yourself - the apartment has all you need for that. There are shops nearby to grab something to cook. The beds are "french" size which means (for us italians) that they are a bit small - think king size rather than queen size. If you're a couple you can definitely enjoy the closeness - if you're just friends sharing a bed... not so much, i guess! I will definitely be back here if I'm not travelling alone.

Cagnes-sur- Mer is a thriving hub about 4 miles from Nice with train and bus connections to all the surrounding resorts and hill towns in the area. There are plenty of shops for food, a market and lots of restaurants. a free shuttle bus is available to take you to the hill village of Haut Cagnes, well worth a visit and there is also a free bus to the beach although lots of the local buses serve the beach too as well as it having its own station Cros de Cagnes. A ten minute walk brings you to the station.

It is a town which combines the promenade ( tourist area ) and a working town with lots of shops, market and bus and train stations. The town provided easy access to Vence and Nice. Those interested in Art and History will be delighted with Renoir’s house and the Grimaldi Palace in Cagnes-sur-Mer. The Matisse Chapel ( Vence ) and lots of musee in Nice. All within 30 minutes by bus or train.

We loved this apartment and our stay in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

We loved this apartment and our stay in Cagnes-sur-Mer. Fabienne is so kind and helpful. A minus is the noise from traffic and the airplanes, when the windows are open. The apartment is quiet when they are closed. Walking in C-s-M is easy and the beaches are very easy to reach, though the markets are pretty far away and you have to take a bus there. The buses are always awful crowded.

This village, although fairly developed, was quiet and less expensive to eat and drink out than Nice, Cannes and other locations nearby. However, prices are high generally on the French Riviera. There is a market once a week that was very nice, with a fair amount of local produce, and the atmosphere was great. We found all the bars and restaurants well apointed, and provided a good choice. There are many buses passing through the village, but again information on how to use the various routes was hard to find. Travel cards can be bought locally for €10 which give 10 single rides on the buses or trams - which is a must! One ride for any distance.

Lovely family hotel that offers very clean and comfortable rooms. Compared to similarly priced offerings in Nice I found this hotel to be much nicer (bigger rooms, cleaner, better maintained). The location is still convenient with the Cagnes-sur-mer train station, essential shops (supermarket, pharmacy, gas station), beaches, and several restaurants all within walking distance.

Everything we imagined and then some. Quaint square atop a hill in Cagnes sur mer which is dripping in ancient history. We spent our 4 days doing day trips east and west in the French Riviera and ended every day back in the square for a wonderful meal either at the hotel or one of the other 3 eateries in the square!!

The hotel is on a quiet and pretty street very close to the beach. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Bed was comfortable though pillows hard. Nice outdoor breakfast area which could have been lovely and peaceful but was spoiled by loud souped-up piped music and tacky decorations.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean and right by the beach for an early morning swim. The staff were exceptionally helpful: I was given a lift with a heavy suitcase to the bus stop when I left, and was also given help with the suitcase on arrival. Thank you.

Perfect location on the beach, close to shops and restaurants and near the train station. We quickly got by train to Antibes, Eze (the climb via F. Nietzsche trail was great and not too difficult), Monaco and to the airport. Nice staff, cute small hotel.
