Dinan is beautiful and we are sorry that we were only staying for 1 night as part of an organised event. We ate at La Terrasse by the old bridge on the river. The food and staff were excellent. We were able to walk from and to our apartment through the old town without problem. Just be aware that it is steep walking back up from the river to the pedestrianised area of the newer town.

Cafe culture, beautiful views, charming and vibrant town sq with weekly market. Tranquil. Too much to see in one day. Take a two hour electric hire boat with a picnic down the river. Eat Moules until you can't move and relax.

    Charming place, especially the port.

Charming place, especially the port. No boats - while we were there -to St Malo because of the tides, as the river is tidal up to Dinan. The older part is almost traffic free. Fascinating shops, deli's, market on Thursday.

Loved Dinan, its so pretty , every street is pleasing to walk along, and has lots of attractions around the area. Plenty of great places to eat and drink or sit outside the cafe's and watch the world go by. St Malo is a 'must' to see, very similar to Dinan.

We only stayed two nights and didn't get a chance to fully explore but we liked what we saw. The apartment is in the Port area. It is really well equipped and the host was friendly and informative. A short walk away (but up a steep hill - so you deserve your first beer) is the medieval pedestrianized area of the town which has many bars and restaurants. We plan to return another time.

Christoph welcomed us with friendly chat and a warm smile and grabbed us a beer and water which was welcome after our 90 mile ride from Vannes. Bikes stored securely. Super hot shower, comfy bed, crisp sheets & the restaurant is cosy and eccletic, a mix of England & France. We had the tasty set menu & Christoph had ready early coffees for us before we left for the ferry. We shall return again! A wonderful stay! Thankyou Team Christoph!

Isabelle is a very pleasant, welcoming hostess - her home is beautiful - we found the bed very comfortable & the breakfast was delicious - it's a lovely scenic walk from the accommodation, along the towpath, into Dinan picture postcard port, which then leads up into the wonderful historic centre of the town - we throughly enjoyed our stay with Isabelle

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel is convenient to much of the "old town" sights and restaurants. The room was small but it was clean and comfortable. The hotel view for us was of the old chateau. The breakfast was adequate but they were obviously following COVID restrictions and guidelines which I appreciated greatly.

The location is superb, alongside the old port area opposite the old buildings of the old town. It's so easy to walk into town and access the many restaurants and cafes, most of which are on or close to the water. The hotel itself has very attractive indoor and outdoor seating areas with views of the old town.

La Meffrais is a very tastefully presented property in an ideal location for visiting Dinan, especially the port (just 5 minutes away). Our room was decent, though a little cramped. There is ample parking on site. Super friendly hosts and an excellent breakfast provided for €10.
