This hotel is historic, and has a quirky interesting collection of vintage decor items throughout it. It has a very different feel to it (unlike a lot of bland hotels).. The owner is very helpful and friendly and has interesting conversations, and is kindly speaking english, due to my poor french. There is much to see in the historic centre of Laval, and the hotel is walking distance to most of that. The breakfast was very good.

An interesting. lively town with a noticeably high population of younger people/students. A must see is the chateau, I had free access to the venue to view the well presented art collection, I believe the content is changed on a regular basis. There are plenty of good restaurants and not just pizzas and burgers. There are boats available for hire on the river Mayenne but best to check prior to visit as they were not running when I visted in mid May.

What a great city.
What a great city. I wish I'd have been able to stay longer so that I could see more of it. I found everyone very kind and everyone I met went out of their way to help me (I don't speak French). The Saturday market is well worth attending if you can. Be sure to get there early so you have plenty of time to check out all the vendors. I look forward to my next visit to this beautiful city.

I think I have answered all the questions.
I think I have answered all the questions. Regarding the Auberge, but we were only passing through Laval en route back to the UK, so unfortunately we saw nothing of the town, maybe next time.
But to emphasise, very good location, easy to find.
Accommodation spacious and clean and not expensive.
Very good menu and food excellent, but as previously mentioned, a little expensive, but I know food is expensive in France. Service good and as we have minimal French language, it was useful and helpful that the staff spoke English, especially the young girl who served us our evening meal.
Main dining room very pleasant, with an an out door area where it is very nice to have drink and for smokers to have a cigarette.

Lovely river walk, interesting cathedral and we had a wonderful reception from the curee there, both informative historically and uplifting in a spiritual way. Good choice of restaurants and we bought a great hat and belt! We ate at le Perigord, Platinum brasserie and l’Orfevre, both excellent in different ways.
Pleasant hotel very near the station and a short walk to the town. Rooms are basic, but adequate and are decorated in an attractive quirky style. Staff are welcoming and pleasant. Out of hours check-in is well thought through and easy. Buffet breakfast is plentiful and varied.
Car parking is available at the station's underground car park close by. Reasonably priced and felt secure.
Staff on reception were very helpful as we arrived earlier than planned. The hotel is a short distance from the motorway and close to a big supermarket. The hotel has not got a restaurant but there is a Buffalo Grill across the road which we find good value. A good buffet breakfast.
The owners were very welcoming and attentive, the hotel is very well run and offers a good selection for breakfast. The shops are nearby, as well as a great restaurant just next door, and a pretty river a few metres away. A perfectly run hotel - one I will definitely stay in again.
The location was very good. Only a couple minutes walk from a large supermarket, and about 5-10 minute walk from the train station. A good few restaurants nearby were also very handy. A good range of appliances within the hotel itself. Many towels were provided, as well as shampoo.
A perfect breakfast, with a good choice of things to eat, attractively set out. The room was superb, the position of the chambre-d'hôte an unexpected oasis of beauty in an inner suburb of Laval, the historic house a delight to see, inside and out.
I didnt get any breakfast, but I was offered an expresso, for free (I feel privileged).
The hotel is next to a restaurant and fastfoods are nearby.
There is also a shopping center down the road.
The apartment was clean and spacious and well located to walk into LAVAL. The Park located near the rear of the property was nice to walk through on our way to town.
