The staff were friendly and helpful. They had time for you. The room was fantastic. I could have just lived there. The location was central. I would love to stay there again in the same room.

Although a little dark with just one small window the room was quiet, at the rear of the property and away from the general hubbub of the pub downstairs. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

It is a fabulous old hotel that has a warm and welcoming interior and beautiful grounds. There were snowdrops everywhere! The staff are all very friendly and caring. We had booked the suite and it was amazing. The food is superb.
Dinner is a tasting menu of 7 courses every night and each course was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters with their white gloves were a lovely touch too!
The hotel is very close to Peebles and there are plenty lovely walks in the area. The Tapestry of Scotland is a short drive away in Galashiels and well worth a visit.

Our favourite was CocoaBlack. It was immaculate, the chocolate and the cakes were absolutely superb. Id come back to Peebles for them alone!
Lovely staff and a real treat. Dont miss it if youre there.
We had a walk and stopped in at CocoaBlack then headed over to Melrose to see the Abbey.

We liked the very welcoming community. The river was beautiful and the churches were impressive. Very scenic. Could do with more public loos being open and those that were open were expensive.
Some interesting looking restaurants. People's mural interesting. Some lovely little craft shops.

Staff in all areas were excellent.
Staff in all areas were excellent. Used the gym rather than the pool this time around preferring to chill out more than usual in the main lounge area. Food in the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast had almost everything you would want. If you want to eat out there are a number if options. Over our two visits we had excellent meals in The Mandarin (great team), The Cross Keys (Weatherspoons), Number 56 cafe (local favourite) Green Tree Hotel and The Crown.

Attractive riverside walks; castles within walking or driving distance; the town has good quality coffee shops and some gift shops; not far from Edinburgh if wanting to go further afield. Town has health centre and hospital. Also theatre. Some of town's attractions do not open until Easter.
The Cross Keys is right in the centre of peebles which was great, the food is pub grub and we really liked it.
The room was really large, the bathroom was quite luxurious with a huge shower cubicle, we overlooked the beer garden though you couldn't hear anything from the room.
This was the second time there and will go back again.
We have been to peebles six times and stayed at different hotels and the Cross Keys is the best one yet.
My partner and I walked to Peebles on the Cross Borders Drove Road and this was an excellent place to relax after a long day. I was expecting a quaint B-and-B because of the property's age, but I ended up in a very smart and sophisticated room with great facilities and a full restaurant downstairs. Although I didn't require it, it was wheelchair-accessible, including the bathroom. Very satisfied.
Very disappointed with breakfast. Stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and the breakfast was amazing.
This time the food was only warm, well over cooked and some of it inedible. However plenty fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries on offer.
Location is beautiful and peaceful, and only 5 minutes in the car to Peebles city centre.
Bedrooms very spacious and comfy beds.
the staff and facilities were excellent.
we also enjoyed the golf course. I would like to make special mention of the chap who runs the golf shop and tee bookings. he went out of his way to bring our drink bottles out to us on the course and made a point of asking how we enjoyed our day. he’s certainly great representation of your hotel.
The location of the property was perfect. Out in the country but reasonably close to Edinburgh, North Berwick, Peebles and many more. The breakfast was lovely and the food in the restaurant was nice and not overpriced. It was nice to be able to use the pool and there are some great walks from the hotel too. It was a very enjoyable stay.
Lovely little one bedroom bungalow within easy walking distance of Peebles centre. Had all amenities expected and some which were not i.e. it has fridge, washing machine, oven and microwave as well as a dishwasher. Small sunlounge, garden area back and front with space to park the car in the driveway. Overall excellent
Spotless. Obviously recently refurbished and refitted. Huge, very comfortable bed. Large, and powerful walk in shower. Warm and comfortable house. In a very quiet location despite being right in the heart of Peebles. Minutes walk to excellent independent local shops, hotels, bars and restaurants.
The host, Barry, was really helpful and easy to get a hold of when we needed him. He went out of his way to try and sort some issues that were out of his control.
The property is cosy and has lots of character, and is in the perfect location for the high street and Peebles in general.
This is a small and friendly exclusive location, set in its own grounds. Just outside of Peebles and Edinburgh a short distance away, the county setting is very quiet. Excellent restaurant and the staff could not be more helpful. We picked this hotel as it included an EV charge point.
Location, beautiful hotel, impressive restaurant, nice activities, great gin from onsite distillery, Gin staff were exceptional, very enthusiastic . Entertainment live music in cocktail bar. Ten mins walk to Peebles town. Close to glentress if mountain biking.
I was attending a wedding alone because of a bereavement and the staff were very kind. Great breakfasts. Lively, friendly bar. Peebles is charming - one of the churches' bells played proper tunes on Sunday morning.
The breakfast was very nice... Continental items and then a hot dish.
Comfortable beds.
Great location with shopping and pubs nearby.
Parking behind the hotel.
Wonderful staff.
Clean room.
The breakfast was lovely with a good variety of cooked food. The position of the hotel in the high street was perfect with parking. The staff were very approachable and friendly

Great location. Lovely breakfast friendly staff food at restaurant looked and smelt lovely just did not have time. Right on peebles high Street, free parking
