We liked everything. But of all the positives, we really admired the attention and kindness that Gina extended to us. It was unsurpassed. We have never experienced such a warm welcome and so much help from the person who was checking us in. My daughter and I travel a lot and I have never ever come across such a positive and helpful person. She gave suggestions on what to see and where to eat, helped us rent a car, switch an olive oil factory reservation to name a few. Always with a big smile on her face. We felt like we were her friends and her only guests.
The room was super clean and had everything we needed.

Situated on the west part of Crete, the city of Chania is the second largest in this beautiful Greek island. Featuring rich history, breathtaking architecture and pristine beaches, Chania will take you to a fascinating journey through time.
Get your camera and wander around the narrow alleys of the old town or walk on the romantic promenade area of the old harbour with the iconic lighthouse. Set on a small hill, the central part of the town is called Kastelli and is populated since the Neolithic period.
A crossroads of civilisations, the city of Chania offers a harmonic combination of Venetian, Turkish and traditional Greek architecture. Do not miss the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church of Chania, the Mosque of the Janissaries and the Venetian Fortification Walls.
The vibrant area of the new and old town has local taverns serving delicious regional specialties and tsikoudia. If you are lucky you might hear a Cretan mantinada, an improvised folk song about the everyday life.
Located on the Akrotiri Peninsula, the Chania International Airport is about 17 km from the city centre and offers year-round and seasonal flights to London, Brussels, Athens and Thessaloniki. Booking.com will help you find the right hotel, guest house or apartment in Chania.
The historic old town is magical. It also caters very well for people who love Greek food. The Venetian area is quaint and very attractive. Unfortunately the graffiti spoils most of the Turkish area.
Altogether it is a wonderful place to visit…I do so as often as possible.

Chania town is an architectural delight with it's predominantly Venetian architecture. Lovely selection of bars, restaurants and shops. We do wish they would ban the horse drawn carriages. We know people need to make a living but not at the expense of horses being subjected all day to the blazing heat of the sun. We were able to see all that the Old town of Chania had to offer on foot without the need to add to animal suffering! As with most Greek Islands we have visited, the coastline is very beautiful however it is spoilt with rubbish accumulated everywhere. No attempt seems to be made to clean up, both to the detriment of the wildlife and aesthetically. Surely enough is made from tourism to plow some money back into looking after such a beautiful island. Shame on the authorities for not doing more.

The old town and harbour area are both beautiful and very interesting. There are lots of tiny streets with unusual different shops, museums and plenty of Minoan relics, all easy to see. Also some excellent tavernas and coffee shops.

I was in Chania for 4 days and it wasn’t enough for me.
I was in Chania for 4 days and it wasn’t enough for me. I’d recommend At least 5. The medieval town is breathtaking, you can walk through time travel on cobblestone streets that narrow and get a half liter of wine for 5 euros each and have dinner made my locals family for 5 euro. I ate a gourmet dinner on the boardwalk with a carafe of wine dinner for 2 only 65 euros and it was the most amazing food I have ate in my life. I highly recommend.

Stunning place, wonderful people and delicious food.
Stunning place, wonderful people and delicious food. Nea Chora beach is fantastic and there are many restaurants and cafés to choose from. I love to go before and after the high season. Easy to rent a car and drive around, the driving experience was fantastic, good roads and signals. People drive sensibly and there is free parking all over the island with no tolls at all.
Perfect location, right next to the heart of Old Town Chania. Walking Distance to loads of great restaurants, sights, shopping, and views. The room itself was delightful with everything you needed for a great stay. Lampros was such a great, welcoming host. He provided recommendations to a number of restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner options. If you stay here, I would highly recommend his choice of Oinopoiio for dinner, that was our best meal for sure. I would stay here again when we return to Crete.
The location of 11city rooms can't be beat, right in the middle.of the old town on a great street with excellent choices for cafes, tavernas and shops. Manoli the owner greeted us with such warmth and friendliness and showed us our rooms and how everything worked. The room was spotless and everything worked great. It's enough space for 2 and the little balcony was a nice plus. Bed was comfortable and we slept well, we had a room out the back and it was quiet as can be. 5 stars.
We loved our stay at the Kedrissos Hotel. Everywhere is immaculately clean and the staff are all delightful and we felt very welcome. We walked to the beach in 10 minutes, to Chania Old Town in 40 minutes and to the supermarket in 5 minutes. The hotel is near to a main road with bus stops but is set far enough back from the road to be peaceful. The swimming pool and restaurant are so clean and the food is very good. We will definitely stay again when we return to Crete.
Wow, amazing. I really wasn’t expecting this high quality of a room for the price I paid. Everything is high quality; from the comfort of the bed to the high tech air conditioning you normally only find in 5 star hotels. The location is also in the heart of the heart of the old town and yet was still quite at night! A bottle of wine left for me as well :) I will always try and book this place whenever I visit Chania. Excellent communication by staff. Highly recommended.
This was my favorite hotel that we stayed at in Crete. it is a small hotel, which makes it feel even more special. There is a cafe/bar on the main floor. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bustling city and harbor with enough room to sit outside. We also had access to go up to the roof deck. The staff and owner were all lovely. The breakfast was delicious and even had some vegan! We got a discount at the bar as well and the drinks were excellent.
I wanted a typical Greek hotel close to the beach and all in all an amazing stay! From the room (spacious, sea view and best sunset you’ll see on Crete - boats are coming in the evening crowded with tourists to see the sunset you’ll enjoy on your balcony), to the sounds of the Waves at Night, the breakfast and the super friendly staff! Additionally, you have a great beach in front of your doors and the city in 10 mins walking distance! Will come again
George and Chrysa were most welcoming and so accommodating. George was very informative and referred us to the best tavernas in Old Town of Chania. We felt so at home in the hotel. The position of the property was the best, in a quiet alley way, stunning view and close to all the quaint little shops and many tavernas, coffee shops and bars. Good value for money and definitely referring this property to family and friends. Will definitely come back 😊
Everything! We travelled from Santorini and around Crete so stayed in various hotels and this was by far the best one. The location was in the heart of Chania with everything on your doorstep. The room is perfect, spacious, clean and the hosts are so accommodating and generous. Maria and her family go to so much effort to make you feel at home and part of the family. We were really sad to leave as they really did make our stay in Chania beautiful!
The rooms are located just next to the old walls into the old town. It is mostly a very quiet area, and we loved the location, since it's close to everywhere you need to be!
The room is cute, decently sized and comfortable.
Breakfast (which is done in a separate Elia hotel) is amazing! One of the very best I've had.
Ideal location 10 mins walk to the old town. Parking on site is ideal in a town with limited areas to park. Small hotel recently refurbished with modern stylish fully equipped rooms. Like a home from home.
If I ever return to Crete I would certainly stay here again, really hit the sweet spot with this hotel/apartments
My stay was amazing. The view from the room patio was awesome. The attached restaurant Theodosi was great. Do yourself a favor and include breakfast with your booking. I arrived early and the staff very graciously accommodated me. Hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood on top of a hill overlooking the Sea of Crete.
Outstanding! The staff was extremely helpful, even before our arrival. They arranged our transportation from the airport to the hotel and even assisted us with car rental. The hotel is so centrally located to everything in Old Town, there was nothing we missed. I recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you!!
The hotel is super well located right in the center of the old town.
The hotel and the room are beautifully designed and decorated.
The room is amazing with a view of the ocean.
Stelios is a great host and an amazing person, went more than the extra mile to help us out with our plans in Crete.
The apartments are very clean and stylish! As for convenience everything is thought out to the smallest detail. And the owner’s care for you is such that you feel at home and safe. We have travelled a lot in Crete and can say these apartments are worth 5 stars! Thank you very much, Antonios!!!
Lovely host, she gave us the best recommendations for eating out and made us feel very welcome indeed. Very nice to sit on the balcony and observe the flowers and famous cats of Crete in neighbouring gardens. Surprisingly quiet considering the location in the old town.
I spent one night at the hotel before getting on my flight back home. Wonderful view over Chania and close the airport. Exactly what I needed! Great breakfast and wonderful pool to enjoy my last day on Crete!
Friendly staff. The hotel was newly renovated. Good design and functionality. Literally the best location, if you want to be in old town. Good breakfasts, though not superb.
Very modest hotel. It is clean and quiet, but other than that it has nothing that makes it shine. Next time in Crete I would definitely try to find another location/hotel.
