I found the location to be very good because it's very close to the main train station. The area seems a little bit dangerous but on the other hand, that's Napoli.

In a fantastic location on the same street with some amazing bars, around the corner from some great restaurants and very close to major sights like MANN. There's a very tranquil courtyard to have breakfast in, our double room was very comfortable with lots of space for luggage and backpacks, and the staff (front desk and breakfast staff) were friendly.

Hotel Garden Napoli, hotel in Naples

Hotel Garden Napoli is set in central Piazza Garibaldi. The breakfast room offers a beautiful city view. There is free internet in the rooms and at the upper-floor lobby with 24-hour reception.

As far as location goes, it doesn't get better than this. The hotel is a literal stone's throw away from a well connected train station and surrounded by shops/gelaterias/pizzerias/restaurants. The hotel was clean, staff were helpful, and whilst our room initially didn't have a kettle, staff provided us with this upon request. The balconies offer a great panoramic view of the city's skyline.

FAQs about hotels in Naples

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and funicular railways. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of visitable tunnels and even a Graeco-Roman theatre which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artefacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

As for accommodation, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city centre apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

When we walked from the train station to the hotel we were filled with trepidation, much of the city is worn and dirty. However, the people were great and it was exciting to be there. We wished we could have stayed longer, just walking the streets was a thrill.

Avoid Cla.Pa Group when staying in Naples.

Avoid Cla.Pa Group when staying in Naples. The city is exquisite so do ruin the experience staying at such a bad chain of properties. I've written a LinkedIn review to help other travellers see how bad this company is https://www.linkedin.com/avoidclapagroup We do recommend Hotel Decumani De Charme, we recommend staying central as you can enjoy many cheap eats and so much is a walking distance. I loved the castle, the Umberto Galleria and the view of Vesuvius, we caught the train to Pompeii but you can walk to Pompeii ruins from the train station, no need for the shuttle.

The walking to discover varied areas in Naples - a crazy but stimulating city. The worst is the traffic- no respect for pedestrians even on pedestrian crossings. Beware the overpricing taxi drivers. Better to walk everywhere.

It´s a beatiful town, but you can see everything in one day. Tha spanish quarter is caotic, better not go by car. But it´s worth visiting, not dangerous. We got there by train, and it worked well. And then rented a car to drive to Amalfi Coast, the trafic is caotic, but you get used to it.

This hotel was the grandest hotel I have ever stayed in. You can't really call it a hotel if it's a palace. It was the perfect ending to our 3.5 week trip in Italy. We had seen so many museums and palaces and then we stayed in one . Pictures and words cannot describe how Grand this Hotel was . Only a few rooms in this hotel it was something special. I am totally lost for words. It was like staying in a museum. The room was enormous. The ceilings are WOW !! If you ever stay in Naples this is a once in a lifetime place to stay.

This was my favorite property on my 10-days visit in Italy, too bad I only visited Naples for a day. It didn't disappoint as I already knew I was gonna like the property itself because of location, facade and the upper terrace. Everything is photographed as expected. But what's magical about it was the overall experience provided by the hosts (Nico and Anna) and their angel, Patrizia. I got the opportunity to be welcomed well, the Napoli way ❤️ I'll come back next year and will definitely stay in touch with them.

Not your usual hotel type of room but interesting with a story behind it. Our host Antonio was extremely helpful in all aspects of our first visit to Naples. On our arrival Antonio gave us an excellent introduction to the city including advice on what to see, where to eat and drink and how to keep ourselves safe. We also experienced unforgettable football event in the city. Naples team became the champion of Italy. They celebrated it with passion and vigor like we never saw before. It was a perfect place to stay for our last night in Italy. We had an early flight so the location was perfect for us. It’s on the outskirts of the city but bus links in Naples are very good so despite not being in the centre it could be a good base for anyone exploring the wider area. Our hosts were lovely and the check in and out was very easy. The room is modern and clean with everything we needed plus a few nice extras with tea/coffee facilities and light snacks provided.

I loved my stay at Napoli Cityscape! Vanna and Antonio were some of the nicest people we met in all of Italy and they were so great at communicating and making sure we were comfortable. I love that we got breakfast vouchers for every morning at a nearby cafe - I think I even preferred that to a hotel-served breakfast! The room was spacious and stylish, the amenities were great, and the mini-fridge was perfect for storing all our takeaway pizza.

Nice hotel to spent some time in Naples a little bit like a local. It's situated in a good neiborhood, on an authentic street. You must open few doors to get into your room and there are apartments of the locals around. The room was big and nice. And the view from the terrace was extraordinary. Breakfast is typical for Italy, coffee and croissant. It's tasty and situated in Pasticceria near by. You can feel the real vibe of the city here.

Having stayed here on our first night in Italy, we were delighted to be able to return two weeks later for our last night! Having spent a day exploring Naples, we grabbed food from a local restaurant and were able to relax. The next morning it was a few minute drive to the car hire to return our car then hop on the shuttle bus to the airport. The apartment was perfectly placed for our needs and helped make the journey home pleasant.

The location literally could not be more central. Anything you could possibly want to visit in Naples is most likely just a short walk away. Public transport links are nearby for anything beyond walking distance. The room is really nice, equipped with all the amenities needed on a short visit to the city, plus a comfy bed of course.
