A great location, although out of Piazza Armerina it was very close to the Roman Villa. The room was clean and comfortable, the hosts super friendly and helpful, the meals and wine I had there at extra cost were good and reasonably priced. A very relaxed atmosphere and bicycle friendly.

We had just one night stay here on our tour around Sicily. The property was clean and the was room spacious. We visited out of season (March) so the town was fairly quiet but stunning views from the top. Perfect for a one night stop-over.
Fly to Catania Airport, then drive 78km to Piazza Armerina (approx. 1.5 hours). Alternatively, take a bus from Catania (2.5 hours) or Palermo (3 hours). For domestic travellers, direct buses from major cities are available. Transfers may be required.
The most convenient airport for Piazza Armerina is Catania-Fontanarossa Airport. It's the closest major airport, approximately 78 km away, offering both domestic and international flights, making it ideal for all travellers.
Piazza Armerina, Italy, is best navigated on foot due to its compact size. For longer distances, the local bus service, operated by AST, is reliable and covers the town extensively. Cycling is also an option, with bike rentals available. Driving is possible, but parking can be challenging in the town centre.
The historic centre of Piazza Armerina, with its medieval architecture and proximity to the Roman Villa del Casale, is the most popular and convenient area for visitors to stay.

The room was great and a good location for what I I was doing. The room was very comfortable and unique. I had lots of choices close by for eating. Parking was a short distance away, and I opted to pay for the parking to ensure I could leave the car there for two days. Cost was negligible. Excellent room and very helpful host.

The Romana Casale was terrific.
The Romana Casale was terrific. Better than we might have imagined. It is slightly outside of the town.
The town was difficult to navigate--the narrowest streets we have experienced, and you must climb straight up to reach open restaurants, near as we can tell. It is likely different during high season, with more things open.

The city has a particular charm very different from the towns in the Val de Noto we visited and one has a much stronger sense of thousands (!) of years of continual living and history. Make sure to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, fantastic!

Incredible historical area.
Incredible historical area. So many ancient temples in one place with detailed information posted throughout the site. Take a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes. It is easy to get around though not always on even ground. Easy to park at either entrance, allow at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours. There is also a cafe on site.

Piazza Armerina, the incredible Roman villa and mosaics was a highlight of our 12 days in Sicily. and absolute 'must' but recommend that you see the INCREDIBLE mosaics at opening or near closing time so you are not hemmed in by busloads of people and explanations from Babylon. (I speak many languages, but not all at once!) The town itself was very nice as well. Cute terraces, little park, beautiful historic buildings and little cobblestone streets. Ample (paid, inexpensive) parking everywhere.
(Regarding the B&B: the 2nd 'B' is supposed to refer to 'breakfast'. There was absolutely nothing! Many places in Sicily had a Q-code or such so you could go and have breakfast somewhere. A cute idea if you're not one who needs that 1st coup of coffee at rising, but this should be noted in the description prior to payment!)

Nicky and Roberto, thank you for the best time we spent traveling Sicily. Thanking to your hospitality and all your services; everything was far above our expectations. Nicky thank you for so high professional & wonderful decorated rooms and your art " Michelin Star" breakfast; and according to Roberto´s advice the dinner by his friends in the Restaurant La Tavernetta, we enjoyed the unforgettable dinner. Looking forward to be back soon and stay much longer. Heaven! Best from Sabina, Loredana, Vasko, Vlado
Rita is an exceptional host! Lovely, lovely place and superior food. She fed us dinner with another couple (30 Euros each) and it was outstanding -- one of our best meals in Sicily. The pool was delightful as we happened to be there during a hot spell. The breakfast the following morning was also excellent. This location is close to the Roman Villa so easy driving there. I would highly, highly recommend Villa Clementine!
We had dinner and breakfast; Hector is a professional chef who makes/cooks all the food, the BEST meals we have had during our trip to Malta and Sicily. Hector and Inez are consummate hosts and make sure you are totally happy with your meals and accommodation. We would highly recommend having dinner here as there are no restaurants that can possibly match the cuisine at L’Angelica.
I loved every detail of our room. It was very comfy and cosy. We visited end of march and the weather was sort of cold. And because this part of Sicily is very authentic and 'untouched'. I didnt expect to find hot water in the shower, but i was very surprised to find the shower having warm water. The croissants served for breakfast was yummy. Sonia was very welcoming and helpful.
Silvana was a wonderful host! Her home is lovely and she is so generous in sharing it. She made us a delicious cappuccino when we slept late and was super helpful with our needs as we were getting ready for the wedding we came to attend. She also helped us find a car with a driver to take us to the wedding and pick us up last minute which was hugely appreciated.
The owner, Luciano and her daughter Paula showed us the perfect “warm Sicilian” welcome. Having lived in Sicily for almost 7 years now, we can pretty much assessed what is normal and what is a spectacular and what we experience was the latter. The view didn’t disappoint, the food and wine were awesome and the customer service was top notch!
Everything about the stay was incredible. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, the room was nice and clean, and they even helped us find parking. But the best part was the dinner that the host cooked for us, it was by far the best food we've had in Sicily! Anyone staying here should definitely opt in for the dinner.
Really lovely place to stay. Good location for exploring the town on foot with nice restaurants nearby. We received a welcome coupon for a free tasting of local wine and snacks at the owners bar a short walk away which we really enjoyed. Great breakfast. The whole place is beautifully decorated. We be happy to stay again.
We loved everything! The hosts were warm and welcoming. Their house filled with paintings and artisan items. In the morning, the hosts offered a breakfast of home made and local specialities. We warmly recommend Zù Mariu to anyone, since it must stand out as a pearl among all places on Booking.
The place was away from the city's noise but close to the city centre at the same time. Perfect spot!
The room was cosy with a beautiful view of the countryside. Exceptional breakfast with a great host who helped us go around Sicily and discover new places. I will definitely come back!
The accomodation is very well equiped, so you can feel like home. Garden and surrounding are amazing. Swimming pool is great. You can feel here like you are staying in 5 star hotel but you are the only one guest. It gives you a great feeling. We enjoyed staying here very much.
A lovely house with all you need for a comfortable stay in beautiful and friendly Piazza Armerina. The Villa Romana de Cazale is a must see on a trip to Sicily. Good recommendations for food from the hosts. Early check-in was possibel. Good information on WhatsApp.
Hotel is close to the city center (5 min walk). Hotel has a fantastic view towards the beach.
Breakfeast was good.
Parking at the hotel is a challange, entrance is quite small and steep. You have to leave the car keys at the reception, they will park your car.
Rita is an absolutely amazing host! We've had a super comfortable appartment with private entrance, that was very convenient. Great pool, wonderful garden and truly amazing breakfast. What else do you need? So far - our best stay in Sicily on this trip!
This is a lovely country hotel within 30 min drive to the great mosaics of Villa Romana Casale. It was understated and homey. We also had dinner which was delicious. The grounds are nice including an outdoor pool (was closed due to it being winter).
Very friendly staff (Nancy) and perfect location if you plan to visit the Villa Romana del Casale (which is the main reason most people end up in Piazza Armerina for). We've visited it in winter, hence we couldn't enjoy the outdoor pool.
Very original accommodation with a lot of character. I loved the original design in the room as well as in the bathroom with a lot of attention to detail. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Best accommodation during my trip around Sicily.
The host was very kind and we had a nice conversation about sicily and it was nice to get to know a local person. He suggested some nice tour in sicily. The kitchen was well equped for daily use. The room was clean.
Our hosts were very welcoming, provided a lovely breakfast, the room was large, clean & quiet. It was easy to park outside and close to the historic centre of Piazza Armerina.
