stayed at the hotel as liked the novelty of staying in a hotel with an observatory, and it really didn't disappoint. even though the star-gazing tour was led in japanese, so was difficult to follow, the views were very impressive, and the enthusiasm of the staff was enough to carry the experience. rooms were roomy and warm considering it was below zero outside.

Nice space with traditional futons. Very spacious and quiet. Very nice host who also baked wonderful bread for our breakfast. The owner is currently building a restaurant next door so having meals there might be a possibility in the near future.

Every aspect of this accommodation was impressive. The facade is very modern ad was reflected in the dining area, lobby, accommodation floors and the rooms themselves. Nature abounds in the surrounds of this picturesque town. Within walking distance to Takachiho Jinja and the Kagura performance. Best to drive to the gorge from here.

The photos on booking.com don't do this place justice. The house is super clean and the bathroom looks brand new. Very warm and homely feeling. The staff was so polite and helpful. She even gave us a house tour and was smiling all the time. She even called a nearby restaurant to help us make a booking for dinner. Very good value for money.
