Super clean, big room with sitting area, with relaxing chair with armrests and cute little table, air conditioning is positioned well, the bed is comfortable, good quality bed linen. Very quiet. The room is pleasant to be in. Good location, there is AOEN shopping across the street, big parking. Breakfast is very good and consists mostly of Japanese food, but there are also steamed fresh vegetables: sweet potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, and some green vegetables, all of them grown locally, there are some croissants and some little sweet pastries. A lot of washing machines and driers in hotel, all of them are super clean. In the hallway is played soft relaxing music , you don’t hear it in the room.

Very helpful manager of the hotel, who helped us with translating and even arranging taxis for us, as our hired car didn't work out. Nice and clean room, good bed, bath with everything available to use. Walkable distance from family mart. We enjoyed our stay here.

The resort and hospitality were outstanding! We enjoyed our apartment a lot - it was very clean, has a lot of space and a gorgeous view! The barbecue organised by Tomo in our garden was very nice and delicious as well. Just nearby there are also beautiful beaches.

Wonderful island with tons of things to discover.
Mostly Japanese tourists. We went off season, so not crowded at all. Most things are in Japanese only and people only speak minimal English. We used Google translate a lot.

This has been the best island that we have visited to date very clean great beaches and plenty to see
Traveling around was easy as roads are good, Sat Nav in rental car was a bit hit and miss
There different colors of the sea are a must to see and take pictures
We were very lucky had a BBQ at a popular beach and it happened to be a very good place to see a sunset that evening

The center city is not very lively or pretty.
The center city is not very lively or pretty. The island is rather rural with lots of banana, tobacco, and sugar cane plots. However, the suburb areas near the beaches are beautiful. I would recommend a resort as the available activities are limited to outdoors and dining. A car is required to get around. Unsure if there is any nightlife in the area.

Wonderful and beautiful place, the color of the sea amazing, many interesting sites to visit BUT you NEED a car (to rent a car). The public transportation is almost non existent (there is a bus to the airport). The island is too big for the bicycle, and too hilly.

During Golden Week, you must book an Izakaya for dinner ahead of time. If you try to walk into a restaurant, they will be fully booked or not let you in. Some of the locals seemed to discriminate against foreigners but not other Japanese tourists.

It’s a magical island and I didn’t see as much as I wanted due to a 4 day typhoon where we needed to stay inside…typhoons are common but not this long! But the accommodation was very flexible and offered extra nights at reduced cost
I’ll be back to complete my sightseeing outside of typhoon season!
The host and team were very kind. It's a relatively small house in which the guests live together with the host and the staff. It's a family atmosphere between the host, the staff and the guests.
We cooked together, made some trips and just went for dinner/drinking.
Since I speak only a bit of Japanese there was some language barrier, since the host speaks only japanese. However, some of the guests could speak a bit of English and for the translation apps could be used. Nevertheless I never felt excluded.
We spent one week of our honeymoon at the resort. Moana and the whole staff were absolutely faboulus. They took care of everything, took reservations and made our stay the most perfect. The villas are simply superb and so are the breakfast, the restaurants, the beach and the whole area. We'd like to thank the staff again and would absolutely recommend it to everyone. Simply fantastic.
The best hostel I’ve stayed in Japan. The owner Max and Wakana the staff were really cool and friendly and Happy-chan the cat is very cute. The hostel has a great atmosphere and the communal areas downstairs and the terrace are relaxing places to hang out. I had the private room with beds and the mattress and pillow are super comfortable.
The location was perfect for snorkelling on pristine reef with no one else around.
The host is amazingly helpful and accommodating as he let me know there is limited transport from the airport and offered to pick me up. He also gave a short tour of the island which was amazing as I wouldn’t have gotten to see those places otherwise.
Very cute guesthouse, the owner is really kind and has lots of recommendations. We even rented bikes for free. If available (first come, first serve) you can also rent two e-bikes for a small fee. However, a car is strongly recommended for the island and also for the location of the guesthouse.
My son's family loved the place. He was grateful. He seemed panicking at first because there was no instruction, but it was my bad because I didn't check my email. Everything was written with pictures in Japanese and English. They were able to have a good time with his family and kids.
The hotel is located in a fairly quiet but accessible area, and is instantly recognizable by how it is painted. Rooms are on the upper floor, the lower floor serves as a café/restaurant. A good sized breakfast is served to travelers staying here at a discount. Bed was comfortable.
Very affordable and functional apartment with view of the bay. The apartment actually felt big for Japan. We had everything we needed to cook and we had bicycles to ride around the island (cooking utensils and bikes must be rented from the hotel).
Very conveniently located next to sunset beach. All the other beaches we drove were also very close, maybe 20 minutes maximum which made our stay very comfortable.
The city center was 5 min by taxi and mere 440¥ so very very convenient
The location was amazing, and the rooms and facilities were very clean. It is nice that all rooms have a window with a view on the port and the sea. The hotel lobby is a calming space with a nice vibe. Overall an amazing experience.
Great view and really nice restaurant that saved our lives, because there is nowhere to eat on entire island. Restaurant stuff was wonderful too! They remembered what we liked and followed every day🫶
We had dinner at wafutei (a big family restaurant) just a few min walk from the hotel.
Everything in hotel is new and clean.
washing machine is free and there is dry mode in shower to hang clothes.
The location was good! Many restaurants around and easy to get around island. The bed was super comfy, bathroom as well, there was a washing machine as well.
