You then note down what you have taken and post into an honesty box to pay at the end of your stay - Alpacas, Sheep and Koi which you can feed - A selection of homemade pastries and cakes on offer - We loved the concept of low-waste around the hotel - Delicious breakfast with high quality coffee - The staff could not have been more helpful. We arrived a little later in the day after an 11 hour drive and struggled to get a booking in any nearby restaurants; but Anouk at the front desk happily helped by making a phone call for us - we would highly recommend visiting De Hertog Jan Proeverij nearby. - Extremely comfy bed and pillows - we slept SO well. - Generous-sized room and bathroom - Ideal location for visiting the Oorlogsmuesem in Overloon (if you have a car) - Smells of fresh herbs and flowers in all rooms - Amazing value for money!

Lovely family business in Velden with convenient distance to Venlo. Very pleasant stay in cosy room just above stylish sport bar but still very quiet though. Excellent service and breakfast. The option of restaurant meal next door for dinner. Really nothing you could complain about, recommended.

Great family hotel! The location is surrounded by nature next to a lake with a beach, with trails for walking and biking. There's even a pet farm across the lake. Our 3-person family room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was modern, clean and had bathroom amenities (which many hotels don't provide these days). The breakfast was very nice with a good variety of products. We made use of the indoor swimming pool with our kid and he really enjoyed it. It is also very handy being able to rent electric bikes to explore the area. All the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Overall a great stay.

Very friendly helpful staff. Beautiful suite with patio on the water front. Very comfortable bed and lovely bath. Breakfast was fresh with lots of lovely options ( beautiful warm brown bread). Great evening meal outside at very reasonable cost. Would defy love to return.
