The property was right on the beach at St Clair and, even though we weren’t booked into a beachfront room, we still had a great view of the beach from our balcony. The room felt really spacious and was very comfortable and clean.

Besutiful city in South Island. A lot to see and do: museums, Larnach Castle, astonishing Botanic Garden. For those who have more time there are a lot of beautiful beaches and gardens who worth visiting.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun.
I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing. I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times. We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.

The staff were great upon our arrival and our room was excellent. We had a nice ocean view from the balcony, the room was clean and well appointed. Our bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. There was onsite parking available and a few nice restaurants and cafes nearby. We were given complimentary tickets to the heated seawater pool about 150m from the hotel which we made use of.
