While my recent stay at Carris Hotel left much to be desired, there was one shining aspect: its central location. Situated close to the main attractions, the hotel offers convenience in exploring the city. However, this positive attribute was overshadowed by several drawbacks. The noise from the nearby main road seeped into the poorly sealed windows, disrupting the peace. Moreover, the staff's lack of warmth and the outdated rooms and amenities failed to justify the hotel's supposed four-star status. Even opting out of the overpriced breakfast couldn't salvage the overall experience. Despite its prime location, the hotel falls short of providing a satisfactory stay.

It seemed renovated and the lobby was really nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a lot of variety. The room I stayed had a balcony and the bed was comfortable. It was walking distance from the center, 15 minute walk to the cathedral and there was a metro station 6 min walking where you can take the metro to the airport.
The sao bento market was 2 blocks away and I ate in a really good restaurante 2 min walking (Vaccarum).
Would definitely recommend this hotel!!
