Great trailer in the middle of the center of Cilaos, perfect for going around the town as well as a good place to start hiking. Very nice personnel that explained everything very well and were very welcoming. The trailer was a great deal for the money, with basic amenities, hot water and good wifi.

Nice place but the main street was under construction.
Nice place but the main street was under construction. So not that pretty, but once it will be finished it will be nice. Did two hikes and got good info at the tourist information. Try the creps at the small café near to the church in the new buildings. Delicious

I would recommend timing your stay correctly so as to avoid stormy roads on the 420 bend road to Cilaos. I would also recommend you take a drone for drone photography; Cilaos is magnificent and a drone could help show that a bit better.PieterNetherlands

They have invested much in this property and a real highlight for us us was to enjoy dinner with them, the table d'hote. We can't speak french but this turned out to be a very enjoyable evening for all of us - both using google translate. We learnt much from Reunion also. The weather was kind to us and we could hike to La Chapelle the next morning. It is in a quite part of Cilaos with of course the Piton des Neiges towering above the town

But Le Cilaos is really nice, with a nice heated pool and a dazzling view of the highest mountain on the island. From the pool and the restaurant. It's a bit tired now, it couldn't have four stars in Paris, but it's OK here. Excellent food over the weekend with a wide choice of buffet for dinner and breakfast. We'd love to come back again sometime...

The bathrooms were clean enough and the bed was comfy. I never met the hosts but they knew enough English to help me check in by phone as I arrived after 6 pm and called them to let them know.
