Pine Bungalows, hotel in Jasper

With mountain views, Pine Bungalows is located in Jasper and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar and garden.

The cabin that I'd rented had two very comfortable beds. It had a small fridge and coffee maker with in-house made ground coffee that was delicious! The bathroom had an excellent shower with lots of towels and the in-floor heating was SO nice as it was still a bit chilly May long weekend. The grounds were so beautiful along the Athabasca River with many wildlife viewing opportunities. We also had a small campfire pit which we used one evening with the wood supplied by the groundskeepers. The local elk and deer were on the grounds eating comfortably. The proximity close to town was also ideal. I cannot recommend this place enough!

FAQs about hotels in Jasper

The Uplifting Power of Nature

Jasper sits in a green valley within a national park surrounded by the majestic Canadian Rockies. Water in its various forms has shaped the dramatic scenery and continues to create serene landscapes.

Tree-lined Lake Beauvert is the closest to town, but Pyramid and Patricia lakes are more famous thanks to the rugged peaks perfectly reflected in their still waters. Arguably the best of all is Maligne Lake whose incredible water colour is eclipsed by small, pine-lined Spirit Island. You may not know the name, but you’ll probably recognise the view.

Many glaciers come off the huge Columbia Icefield, roughly midway between Jasper and Lake Louise. Some have cut canyons where you can go ice walking. Other winter sports include ice skating and skiing at the Marmot Basin resort, named after local animals.

Bears inhabit the surrounding forests and more wildlife lives at The Den at Whistler Inn, just one Jasper accommodation option on Booking.com alongside mountain lodges and pet-friendly hotels with pools.

The Jasper Tramway – Canada’s highest cable car – goes to the top of The Whistlers mountain, and on the slopes of another are the Miette Hot Springs open-air pool.  The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum details the area’s history, and traditional Haida styles and colours are celebrated in the modern Two Brothers Totem Pole

    Parking....

Parking.... There is free parking outside hotel to load/unload for limited time, but it's hit and miss as to whether it's available as you pass by. As it's a dual carriageway, not worth the effort unless you are disabled etc. Even then still not guaranteed of course. Best to park in car park that is literally across the road. App was no good for a UK visitor. Use the bar code thingy it works well. Chargeable after 09.00. But once you have used bar code once you can pay from across the road in your room. Putting aside the fact it's chargeable it works well and is a big carpark. Go on streetview to see the lie of the land.

Jasper is a more rustic mountain town than Banff or Canmore,...

Jasper is a more rustic mountain town than Banff or Canmore, which are in the Banff National Park (Canmore just out of the park boundaries). There are lots of places to visit outside of the town within easy driving distances. The town has many interesting restaurants and shops, and many places in which to stay. Camping is available nearby.

    We love Jasper .

We love Jasper . It's welcoming with local smaller stores and the views of the mountains are amazing. We would recommend the Pizza place and the family run L and W restaurant with a large variety of food we really enjoyed. Not all stores are accessible for people in wheelchairs as they have steps to get into the store. One store allowed me to take t-shirts just outside there open door to show my daughter while they watched .

    The lakes are worth seeing.

The lakes are worth seeing. There are several that are very photogenic - lake Annette for instance. The town itself is quite scenic, though nothing close to say the Austrian Tyrol. The SkyTrain is vastly overpriced for what it is.

Spectacular Jasper National Park offers you the opportunity...

Spectacular Jasper National Park offers you the opportunity to visit the Miette Hot Springs, Maligne Valley, Pyramid Lake Island, Mount Edith Cavell, the Icefields Parkway and of course wonderful shopping and dining experiences in the town of Jasper itself. The shop keepers are friendly and helpful and the town takes great pride in its appearance. There are some long travel distances between areas so it's best to check ahead to ensure the attractions you wish to see are open. Jasper is truly the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies, hiding in plain sight!

Jasper is a cute and walkable little town.

Jasper is a cute and walkable little town. But note, it's little....a lot smaller than Canmore or the Banff towns. Places to stay are also limited in comparison. But the skiing at Marmot was top notch and not crowded at all especially when compared to Lake Louise, Norquay, or Sunshine.

Excellent hotel. The room was very clean and tidy. Very convenient location, just minutes away from all restaurants and shops. Friendly and kind personnel. The absence of air conditioning can be something that may affect some people's staying experience but definitely not a deal breaker for us. The loft room we booked has a very cozy layout and the fireplace adds a lot in the overall ambience, especially if booked in winter. Highly recommended facility l for your stay in Jasper.

The bungalows were cozy and comfortable and we got it at the last minute because our room was cancelled in Jasper with the fires. The restaurant was exceptional and we had a great time the 2 nights we were there. We loved how quaint and historical the cabins were. We look for that kind of lodging. It is a ways up in there, so be prepared for that, but we loved it. The fireplace is a plus, but you do have to air your room out after you build your fire since the cabins are small.

The room was large and clean. The bed and wifi were both good. It was a twin queen room and included a tiny kitchenette. The hotel was slightly out from the centre of the action but still within walking distance and quiet.. There’s lots to do In the areas surrounding Jasper. One day we went to the Columbia Icefields. What a marvellous experience even though it’s over an hour away. The hotel has free parking including a limited underground carpark. But overall, a very good stay.

The food was amazing, especially the breakfast sandwich. Possibly the best I've ever had, my boyfriend and I were raving about it all weekend. We enjoyed the food so much we didn't eat anywhere else in Jasper. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, anything we ordered came in 15 minutes or less. Rooms were a bit dated but they still had a cute cabin feel, more authentic then just a standard hotel. Overall really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend!

Great location - 10 mins walk to the middle of town. Rooms nicely updated and clean. Bed super cozy. Breakfast was really good and catered for gluten free requirements. Staff really friendly and helpful. Noise from the trains is unavoidable at any of the hotels in Jasper; it just adds to the charm. Ask for a room that does not face the road/railway track to help minimize it

At first our room was at a lodge and it looked cramp for family of 4 and a dog. I asked at the reception if we could have one of the cabins. Kartyk was very accommodating and catered to what we needed. We loved the cabin! Too bad that the restaurant was close. It would've been helpful so we didn't have to keep driving back to jasper downtown for 30 to 45mins back and forth.

The room was quite small overall, the sink was right next to our bed and not in the washroom. Overall location of the hotel is great, right on the Jasper strip with all the restaurants. Bed was okay. Find the room kinda dim though.
