The Bruce was among the best hotel experiences we have had anywhere in the world. Every single staff member was welcoming. Every possible consideration had been given to ensure guest comfort. I especially appreciated having coffee on our balcony. The restaurant food quality was excellent. We recommend the Bruce most highly.

A pleasant small town even in winter with enjoyable seasonal lights along the river and downtown. A relaxed friendly atmosphere in all the stores and restaurants/cafes we visited. Interesting older buildings in some of the local neighbourhoods.

Always a great visit.
Always a great visit. We go almost every year and see two plays each time and have yet to be disappointed. Stratford is great place to relax, have good food and quite evenings. Don't miss the Stratford Perth Museum, a great learning experience about Stratford! If you have a bit of extra time visit Saint Marys. And, if you like Indian cuisine don't miss Raja Fine Indian Cuisine.
Impeccable service, excellent dining experiences and a fantastic location. It is truly a beautiful hotel with amenities that are wonderful- love the homemade fortune cookies and coffee service in the morning. We stayed in a junior suite and loved it. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is amazing and huge! We loved sitting out on the patio enjoying the garden. Philip was very helpful with dinner plans and answering our questions. This hotel sets itself apart from any other places to stay as it truly is a memorable experience!
It was so charming and well kept. We loved the sunroom with the tea and vintage love seat, and french doors. Looking out and seeing the river was great to wake up to. It was a conveniently short walk to lots of cafes and restaurants and shops, yet still quiet enough for us. I found it very affordable for what we got, and checkin instructions were very thorough and helped alot. Parking was made convenient and wasn't overpriced in my opinion. (Some hotels charge like $30 a day or add it into the fee).
The staff are delightful, always ready to help. The hotel is in a good location for theatre and has good parking. Breakfast is a delight with perfectly cooked Western Omlette and home fries. The room was large and had both air conditioning and a window that levered open at the top. A power outage added a challenge but was fixed quickly. I recommend this place for its lovely staff, excellent meals and comfortable rooms.
This is our second stay, this year on the main floor and last year upstairs. Both rooms were very well appointed, clean, and the concierge both times were attentive and helpful. The location is not right down town but an easy walk. Stratford is a lovely place to visit, and walking the residential areas was very pleasant, with many lovely gardens. Of course, we came to see plays/musicals, and they are excellent.
The management was helpful and accommodating. There was a glitch in the arrangement and it was dealt with promptly and with grace. We loved having the kitchenette since being frugal vegetarians it doesn't work to have all meals in restaurants (though there is a gourmet vegetarian restaurant a block away). We enjoyed being a block from the Avon Theatre and in the midst of historic Stratford.
Very nice accommodation. Very comfortable, very clean, very modern.
Much nicer than a motel or hotel since you had plenty of room to be comfortable.
Michelle was great. She contacted me after I booked to ask me if I wanted supplies for tea or coffee for the morning.
Great little place. I can't say enough about it.
coming into Stratford Ontario, we were greeted by the manager Brandan, who gave us perfect instructions to get to the inn! The Thomas Edison Inn is very charming and filled with a lovely energy much like Stratford itself. We loved our stay, the room was the best. We highly recommend a stay!
The accommodations at Stone's Throw are very comfortable and thoughtfully designed - great bed and linens and comfortable arm chairs for reading. The house is very central to all that Stratford has to offer. The hosts are very welcoming. I would certainly stay again.
Absolutely wonderful stay. A perfect location for a Stratford Festival holiday. The hosts, Bruce and Ilya were friendly and most gracious. Special thanks from Diane for being able to feed the Koi. Will return in a heartbeat for our next festival excursion.
This is a recent renovation. The beds were fantastic, as were the facilities, and the room was enormous. Parking was also available at an additional cost. Restaurants nearby. Hotel located one street behind the main street.
Very satisfactory and reasonably priced. Everything clean and in good shape.
We’ve stayed at this motel over several years while attending the Stratford Festival, and it’s always been very satisfactory.
On the outskirts of Stratford, this is an ideal location for seeing the region as well as a base from which to make trips to the theatre. Our host was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with.
This motel is nice and clean, and located in Stratford where its quiet , away from the busy downtown. Great parking right in front of your room, and great people who own it.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely boutique hotel experience, located in the heart of the city. The restaurant and bar on main floor is fantastic!
Was a beautiful setting, literally “ a touch of country”!
Very convenient location for seeing the sights and catching a performance at the festival in Stratford.
