Loved the character of the property and high ceilings! Tastefully decorated and comfortable. Everything we needed for a one night stop over up to the Highlands, apart from a teapot! The puppy loved the pine cones...he did crush one a bit before we realised they were there and removed them ...sorry about that.

Largs is a nice place to visit for a short or long break it is very easy to get around lots of places to eat. We would recommend The Three Reasons great food and prices. The only thing we would suggest unless you are a really big eater try the small meal first, its more than enough. There are lots of places to visit not too far away.

Largs is a MUST stopover if you're planning on visiting Millport. The town itself has so much to offer for Children and Adults alike, great eateries such as Nardinis, where you can taste some of the worlds best ice creams, and, fish and chips! Largs also has some great little shops namely the homemade chocolate shop and many more. I'll definitely be back.
I must add - Shows and arcades for the kiddies, this town has it all.

Fabulous, my third or fourth stay in Largs and I never get tired of it. Scenery is beautiful, walk along the coast path watching the ferries, and in better weather there's nowhere nicer to have a picnic and watch the sea. Good hourly rail connections to Glasgow, from where the rest of Western Scotland and the UK are easily accessible. Also change at Kilwinning for the Ayr line, which has some lovely seaside resorts too.

A nice town to stay in if you like to be away from the city, and enjoy being by the sea and walks along the waterfront. Only a short ferry trip to the lovely Isle of Bute, good charity shops and pubs, lovely staff in Costa Coffee, friendly locals and a nice train ride to Glasgow.

Largs town itself is a bit run down (but this is like most places on the West coast especially these days).
Limited availability of supermarkets if you need to buy groceries for self catering, but you can get what you need.
I didn't eat out but there did look to be a good selection of different types of eateries, Italian, Chinese, traditional, etc.
Also actually good for doing some shopping. That's not why I was there but was pleasantly surprised by the shops on the Main St leading down to the promenade.
If you are looking for a place to spend a leisurely time and don't need a lot to do apart from go for nice walks and eat ice cream then this is the place for you! And of course if you want you can visit Millport from Largs.
The walk along the promenade in Largs is very pleasant, good for fresh air walks but was very busy with families, dogs etc and this was in Winter, so must be absolutely chocca in Summer.
Also, respect to the people eating ice-cream at 0 degrees celsius - gotta have that in Largs no matter what the weather haha:)
It's also a good place if you want a base to explore more of the wider area because the train station is very central but there is also a bus service which goes to Wemyss Bay, Fairlie, Gourock, Greenock etc, ending up in Glasgow. So you can go exploring:). The bus journey is quite scenic. Bus leaves just outside the train station. (I didn't know this but found out cause all the trains got cancelled:( So good for a back up if nothing else!
This was our second visit to this lovely hotel and all the staff are still very efficient and friendly. The food is amazing and I can highly recommend the langoustines and the steak.
It's a five minute walk downhill into Largs to the shops and bars, but we did get a taxi back, it only costs a couple of pounds.
Alan and all his young staff really make this hotel and we look forward to our next pre-xmas visit in 2022.
I liked everything about this lovely Guesthouse. I agree wholeheartedly with previous guests' comments; attention to detail in the bedroom and bathroom to maximise guests' comfort. Breakfast was hotel quality...and I mean 5* Hotel! Location close to train station/bus stop and centre of town. I highly recommend this Guesthouse.
Thank you Keith for a delightful stay in Largs!
Pictures on Booking.com do not accurately show how good this property is. Very well appointed accomodation, view from the living room and kitchen (with front aspect) straight out to the Isle of Cumbrae.
5 - 10 mins walk to Largs Train Station and centre of town for all amenities. Would highly reccommend booking this property.
About a mile (20-30 mins walk) north of Largs centre, the location was excellent for the Ayrshire coastal path and an easy drive (c 3 miles) from Largs Marina . The hotel was comfortable, warm & clean, and the food was very good. No need to walk into town for a meal at the end of a tiring day.
The flat was beautiful and very clean. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. And the location was perfect bang right beside the front of largs and a 2 second walk from the beach and the pier. The location of the flat is quiet and hidden away which i liked. Neighbours are very friendly.
The apartment was spotlessly clean the Bed was so comfortable compared to others in largs and Lisa the host left us feeling like we were at home the little touches that was waiting for us was very much appreciated. Will definitely be staying again. And a great tv! Thank you Lisa
The hotel has recently changed ownership, and the positive changes are already noticeable. The refreshments in the rooms have improved ass have the standard of toiletries.
Many of the staff have been retained, and all the staff were very cheerful and helpful.
Breakfast is lovely, the owner is a lovely lady. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I really like staying there. This was my 3rd time. I have 2 more trips up to Largs planned, both times I will stop here.
Well presented, very clean flat right in the heart of Largs ,only a stones throw from the shops, cafes restaurants etc, well equipped kitchen ,spacious living room, well presented bathroom.
Bedrooms fresh and clean.
This beautifully decorated cottage has everything you need to enjoy your holiday. And it's a perfect base for your daily trips. We had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone visiting Fairlie/Largs.
Apartment was spotlessly clean and freshly decorated with quality finishes. There was a fresh loaf, milk, tea and coffee for us when we arrived. Great view, quiet area and a great hub for our weekend ☺️
Absolutely ideal location for a trip to Largs, minutes walk away from Main Street. The room was a good size with everything you need. Friendly greeting from the owner when we arrived.
Truly fantastic B&B. Such a nice break from routine stays in hotels. Keith went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. Definitely coming back!
Flat was lovely.. everything you needed was provided...very close to seafront and a little town.. maybe more leaflets for tourist sites could be provided...
