The location was perfect, in a quiet courtyard right near the castle. The beds were the most comfortable beds we had for our entire vacation in Italy. The apartment was cozy, nicely decorated, and had extras like tea and a few snacks. Best of all was our host. Luca was incredibly responsive when messaging him and he was also very kind and welcoming. He went out of his way to be helpful. First, he recommended a little restaurant right around the corner (called Del Passero I Vicoletti Bar Bistrot) and even made us reservations! The food was fabulous and one of the best meals we had in Italy. Then, when our taxi driver for our trip to the airport didn't show up, he quickly answered our plea for help got us a new cab right away. That extra effort was greatly appreciated, especially when we don't speak Italian. Thank you for a fabulous last night in Italy!

The place was very spacious, clean and well equipped. 3 bedrooms + a large living-room and a kitchen with enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids + your personal stuff. Vincenzo was very nice and helpful. Location is quiet and easy to access. If you arriving by car you can park it inside the property. There is a supermarket 5 min away by car, some nice restaurants nearby. 25 minutes from Fiumicino airport, 1 hour from Rome, 15-20 minutes from the nearest beach if no heavy traffic on the way.

Excellent location, 20 minute walk to the train station for the train into Rome, 15 minutes walk from the awesome Ostia Antica archeological site. Lovely little town with a good supermarket, bakery, pizzeria.
This apartment was excellent, very comfortable, quiet and clean with everything we needed. The hosts are amazing, very helpful and friendly with lots of advice for places to visit.

On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

I was visiting to watch the Italy V Wales Six Nations game in Rome. I honestly could not believe what an archaeological historic area Ostia Antica is. So glad i found the time to visit the Roman ruins.

The owners were a lovely Italian couple who spoke enough...
The owners were a lovely Italian couple who spoke enough english for us all to understand each other. Their home is in a great location that allowed us to walk to the ruins in Ostia Antica and to a place for dinner. I was near Christmas and the home was decorated nicely. Their grandson drove us to the airport, for a charge of course, and we arrived in plenty of time for our flight. We would stay there again, and recommend it to others.

We stayed one night. It was a clean and comfortable place, the staff were helpful and friendly. the transfer to the airport was easy and short. the onsite resturant was good. we did not have time to use any of the other facilities. the included breakfast was a little sparce, just cake, pastry, juce and coffee. the advertised glutin free options were not very obvious, however we did get 2 small packs of very nice busicuts for breakfast, that the waitress found out the back. all in all a nice place for a stop over.MirandaUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

The archaeological site is enormous and slightly overwhelming; 5-6 hours was enough for me, although a second visit would have been good. There are some amazing sites there including mosaic flooring, some of which is unrestored and I was surprised to find it actually underfoot. The cafe in the site served lovely salads and hot dishes, not too pricey. I didn't explore the town but ate at a good bistro for reasonable cost.DinahUnited Kingdom

The view of the river was glorious while sitting in the lounge and gazing out noticing fish and beautiful swans floating by. Paula and Marko were wonderful hosts easy to get along with and helpful in every way, even their cat was super friendly. Getting on and off the boat was also very easy. If you go there from Rome, you can take the Cristoforo Colombo train from Porta San Paolo in Rome, it is the Ostia Antica stop and you can get to the accommodation on foot. From the accommodation, you can get to the airport in about 15 minutes. You can ask the staff to call you a taxi which is what we did (it was €35) but I think it’d be better if you called an Uber - you could save at least €10..KKarelCzech Republic

As we walked into the room, our first impression was WOW! It is beautifully decorated and spotless! Our "wow" continued as I opened the shutters to view the cutest hamlet. There was a castle, a church and a fountain. I felt like I was in a fairytale! There is also an excellent restaurant steps away from the property. Our stay could not have been more perfect!

It is minutes walking distance from antique center, restaurants and bars. We also liked communication with Federica the owner, who is responsive and kind. This casa is a great option for people visiting Ostia as well as before/after flights.
