Offering a restaurant, Riverbank, Country Pub and Guesthouse is located in the countryside 10 minutes’ drive from Carrickmacross. This charming property opens onto grounds with views of a 12th-century Norman motte fort. I arrived late in the evening and the hosts were exceptionally accommodating. I had dinner at the pub and the staff arranged for my taxi the following morning. The food at the bar is also very good. I very much enjoyed my stay here, would definitely visit again for longer.
