Would highly recommend this Gasthaus for its service and warm welcome.

A 15-minute drive from the centre of Basel, Hotel Gasthof zum Ochsen enjoys a quiet location in the heart of Arlesheim, 8 km from Basel and 1,200 metres from the Goetheanum Centre in Dornach. Nice room, very hospitable staff, free fruit and beverages on each floor at all times. Good restaurant.

We went to the hotel with our dog and we loved it. Our hotel room was small but really nice and confortable with a nice balcony. We had the best time with our dog as there was so much space for us to walk around including a beautiful forest. Dinner and breakfast were really good too.

I made a reservation in the booking and the reception was kind enough to make a change at the last minute. Very welcoming staff and breakfast service. There are free drinks and fruit at the reception. Great quality to price ratio.

The Baslertor is conveniently located in Muttenz, just outside Basel and is clean, comfortable and especially quiet. The bus stop to downtown Basel - 20 minutes - is just outside the door so, you can stay in a nice hotel with a great value and get to anywhere in the area. There is a Coop grocery store located next to the Baslertor.
