I love the hotel’s location along the Verzasca River, the staff, the accommodations and the restaurant. Really, everything! A beautiful waterfall is located right next to the hotel…you can eat on the patio with the sound waterfall and the sight of the water. The river is directly across the street and the Ponte dei Salti bridge is in the immediate area…maybe 500 yards up the road. There are nice (and long) hiking trails, numerous rustic towns to visit, and the Verzasca Dam is just down the road. The hotel staff is very warm and inviting, and I was relieved to find they had an English speaker (actually, several) on staff.

You can walk out the door to a path that went all the way along the valley into Lavertezzo. The staff were very friendly at both the hotel and restaurant. They all did their best to accommodate us only speaking English. It was a short stay but wonderful.
