South Bohemia is wonderful, and Trebon a beautiful town there. My only real disappointment was a very underwhelming tour of castle. I understand there are limited staff and there cannot be an English language tour at many sites in Czech Republic, but the English text I was given for the tour did not explain key points about the Rozmberks and had very outdated and in some cases incorrect information about Edward Kelley and John Dee. The boat ride in Svet pond was wonderful, and Trebon is a perfect place for walking in some of the most beautiful and historic landscape in Bohemia.

The rooms with view to the central square are perfect - if you are going near Christmas, the view to the Christmas Market is just MAGICAL - it is surreal how beautiful it is. Room is spacious and clean. Have stunning view from the room window. Breakfast is great. There is no AC, but has a fan in the room, no issue for us as the weather was cool at the time. Location is nice, just next to the Hluboka castle, the only concern may be the parking, if it’s full along the road, then will need to park somewhere down.

Kaminek is a really nice location slightly in the middle of nowhere. The whole setup is super cute, with nice surroundings. The room was excellent in size, clean, well maintained and great value for money. Having the option of a restaurant and breakfast at the place is great, because it's a bit of a way to the next possible locations to get a meal - but unfortunately not all is perfect in that regard, read on! Staff was friendly and there was usually someone around who could speak English.

Our apartment was stunning, very comfortable, and beautifully furnished. We had a bottle of Czech sparkling wine and artisanal chocolates waiting for us. The fully equipped kitchen was a bonus, though we only used a coffee machine. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming and helped us with our luggage when checking out and drove us to our car. We were able to park our car at a designated location belonging to the apartments, which was also great, especially as Cesky Krumlov is a car-free zone and cars can park in public places. Hill apartment's location is fantastic, in the heart of Cesky Krumlov's old town, just a few steps away from the castle and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. We loved our stay and cannot wait to be back!
