We had a fantastic stay at Rotmeerhaus. Michael not only went the extra mile when it came to his hospitality, he went beyond. We took the train from Freiburg to Feldberg Bärenthal -the highest train station in Germany- 967m above sea level. From the train station it took about a 15minute walk passing the Schnapps Museum and Lidl Supermarket. As we approached Rotmeerhause Michael and Lily (beautiful dog) welcomed us at the front door, and we were immediately offered a cup of (very good) coffee. The room was immaculate, and the bathroom spoke of German quality at the best. The breakfast was the same as you can expect on first class and possible a little more. We did a small hike up the mountain to Zweiseenblick in the morning, and Michael also let us know that we can check out after the hike. This is certainly not all the time possible, however in our case he offer us this gratitude. I think when you stay here, the place will remain in your memory for a long while. We can recommend Rotmeerhaus to anyone who would like to enjoy some peace and quiet, and enjoy the Schwarzwald nature.

Great place, very clean and decent size rooms. The owners are simply wonderful people. I hot ill during my stay in the hotel and they were great help. The owner even helped me to get my motorbike back on the trailer. Very nice breakfast and wonderful view on the mountains! I highly recomend.

No quarto encontramos detalhes além dos itens de decoração que já trazem um ar de conforto e sensibilidade no cuidado com o hóspede, detalhes que só encontraríamos em casa, como conjunto de costura de emergência, cafeteria, frigobar, chaleira elétrica, cofre, lenços de papel entre outros. A estadia e o atendimento foram sempre muito bem cuidados. Com certeza voltaremos.
