Viihtyisä pikkukaupunki helmikuussa, kun turisteja ei vielä paljon ole. Historiasta kiinnostuneille oivallinen kohde, josta voi tehdä paljon retkiä mm. Normandian maihinnousun tapahtumapaikoille. Oma auto suositeltava, busseja rannoille ei pahemmin kulje. Itse kaupungissa pääsee kävellen kaikkialle.

Hotelli oli automatkailijan kannalta loistavalla paikalla. Suoraan hotellin edessä on edullinen parkkihalli (5-7€ per yö) ja muutenkin hotelli hyvällä paikalla Caenin nähtävyyksiä ajatellen. Hotellin siisteys ja huone ylittivät odotuksemme. Ranskalainen parveke oli plussaa. Caen toimi majapaikkanamme Normandian maihinnousupaikkoihin tutustumisellemme. Matkaa Omaha-beachille oli autolla noin puoli tuntia.

Hotelli oli todella siisti ja sijainti meille sopiva. Aamiainen oli herkullinen, kun saimme tuoretta patonkia / croisantteja yms. herkkuja kahvin kera. Henkilökunnalle arvosanaksi 10++! Loistavaa palvelua sekä omistajan pitämä opasretki Normandian rannikolle oli upea: huolella ja asiantuntevasti suunniteltu. Kiertoajelu läpi pienten kylien oli mahtava lisä opasretkelle! Vahva suositus hotellista!

There was an issue with our reservation, but the hotel came up with an excellent solution which we very much appreciated. The location was ideal, the breakfast buffet was excellent and we had an outstanding dinner in the restaurant. The staff were all exceptional- friendly, helpful and super efficient. We loved our ocean facing room. Our second room was okay but across the building and down the hall. I was hoping to be closer to our second room (our kids are 8 and 13). We had to get 2 rooms because they didn’t have quads available. For Europe, the rooms were a good size. We were on the 6th floor and had a balcony off each room (please note they are lovely, but you can’t fit a chair on them like many balconies in Europe). Coffee was good and location is awesome. On the beach (you have to cross one road and you’re on the boardwalk). Every restaurant and cafe is walking s Distance and the Bac is just steps away. Beds were very comfortable. The older, stylish lady was lovely at every interaction at reception. She was very happy and helpful.

There is a free parking with lots of places. The swimming pool was nice a warm. The breakfast had plenty of food to choose from. The lobby has football table and sitting area is nice, seems like it was recently renovated. The family room has 2 comfortable single beds and 1 double bed.

The property was beautiful. There were acres for walking and bike riding. Our garden room had outdoor seating. there were many indoor rooms for relaxing or drinking. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was outstanding. It has everything you could want to eat. The staff was all friendly.
