Set within 6 km of Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km of Tsuta Hot Spring, Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring offers rooms in Aomori. Absolutely loved the public bath on the rooftop. It was so refreshing to have part of it outside and an actual ice cold bath. Cute to have the peepholes with shutters so you could look outside while no one could look inside. The inside bath made my skin supersmooth. Nice dry sauna. Cool idea to have shower baskets with shampoo and conditioner for specific hairtypes to choose from. There was also a magnificent massage chair 👌 the extras like ice cream and free ramen were also appreciated. Loved how they decorated it with traditional Aomori Nebuta made by a local famous artist. They had tourist information on their tv which was really helpful. Room was small but everything was there, even space to hang your clothes to dry after washing them for free. Breakfast was abundant and well taken care of with a lot of diversity. Staff were all very helpful and kind. The apple juice was delicious ❤️ This hotel is worth going to Aomori for!

Aomori Green Park Hotel is set in Aomori, 6.5 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 42 km from Tsuta Hot Spring. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. A basic and cheap stay that is more than worth its price point. The place is about a 25 minute walk to Aomori Station and about a 15 minute walk to most of the relevant spots in Aomori, but everything else was perfect about it. Check-in was easy, the rooms were small, but comfortable. The included breakfast was an incredible buffet that was amongst the best I've had in all of Asia for something that's free and included in the stay. There's a whole cabinet of free amenities including laundry detergent if you needed something for your stay

The Towadako Lakeside Hotel exceed our expectations in every way. The staff was extremely friendly even though we spoke with very broken Japanese, they seemed to piece together our English rather well. We booked the traditional room with the meal plan including dinner and breakfast. The food was locally sourced, prepared perfectly and arranged in the most beautiful presentation at every meal; no two meals were alike. The lake's Kokonee Salmon was the highlight of my weekend, but my husband and son really enjoyed the Hokoda beef. There was a ton of delicious food at each meal and they were happy to bring more, if needed (it was not needed). The traditional room was set up with tea service during the afternoons and was transformed into a bedroom during dinner service. Upon returning from breakfast service the tea table was back in place. The furnishings are minimal, but perfect. The hotel provides traditional robes for use throughout your stay and it is encouraged that you wear them at any point--even to meals. We did not try the public bath or onsen, but definitely will next time.

I liked the decoration, the hotel shape and the outdoor onsen. The room was very comfortable. The staff was welcoming. And above all, the food is really amazing! It's a little bit expensive but after all it's really worth the money!
