Great hospitality, unsurpassable sea views from bedroom, bus station pick up/drop off were all above and beyond my expectations having stayed in cookie cutter hotels prior and after my visit.

I chose this hotel due to its location next to the trail head of rausu dake and I am super happy that I did that! The hotel is a cultural experience! Everything was perfect. The onsen was magnificent, the food was so diverse and of local products, and the tatami room was beautiful. They even offered a pepper spray against bears for my hike. To be honest, I can't share the opinion of the others that the hotel is too expensive. Instead I'd say you get more then what you pay!

Hotel Kifu Hotel Shiretoko ligger 10 minutters kørsel fra nationalparken Shiretoko, som står opført på UNESCOs verdensarvsliste. Our best stay in Japan so far. We stayed three nights and enjoyed exquisite breakfasts and dinner, each one of them different. Personnel on-site created a family environment and helped us with our limited proficiency in Japanese witht their mastery of English. The private spa was greatly appreciated. Excellent base to explore the region.
