Orlando is typically for Disney, but it is worth to visit Florida Mall as well. We had a rental car. The ones having a collective bus transportation due to some pre-booked attractions, seemed to be walking on the sidewalks. Possible, but distances are long. If you need anything around your hotel, rent a car.

Me olimme suunnitellusti ensimmäiset 3 yötä Miamissa, koska olimme varanneet keski-Floridasta seuraavan majoituksen. Liikenne on sujuvaa muutoin paitsi Miamin keskustassa; opasteet selkeät jne.

Miamissa ja Floridassa on paljon nähtävää. Kaupunkialueella toimii julkinen liikenne kohtalaisen hyvin ja jos haluaa kauemmaksi niin voi vuokrata auton. Miamissa kaikki näyttää ensin kohtuulisen edulliselta, esimerkiksi jos vuokraat auton niin aloitushinta on 30-40USD välillä, mutta kun lopulta kun olet valinnut vakuutuksen, GSP ja muut välttämättömät jutut niin lopullinen hinta veroineen on helposti yli 100USD. Tämä hämmästyttää Suomalaista joka on tottunut että ensin ilmoitettu hinta pitää paikkaansa. Euroopan puolella muutenkin hinta hommat on paljon luotettavamman tuntuiset.

Parhaat paikat mielestäni olivat Sawgrass Mills, Florida Panthersin peli ja ranta. Ihana paikka ja ystävällisiä, iloisia ihmisiä! Autolla oli helppo liikkua. Suosittelen!

Tallahassee on Floridan paakaupunki, mutta kaupungilla ei ole varsinaista keskustaa. Lahinna kannattaa ottaa kuva kaupungin keskustassa sijaitsevasta kaupungintalosta seka vahan kauempana sijaitsevasta yliopistosta. Eli kannattaa ajaa kaupungin lapi ja rapsia muutama kuva. Kaupungin ulkopuolella sijaitsee todella kaunis luonnon puutarha, jota voin suositella.

Key West oli huippuhyvä kokemus.
Key West oli huippuhyvä kokemus. Vuokrasimme auton Miamin lentokentältä 10 päiväksi. Otimme ensin hotellin Floridan itärannalta ja viimeiset 5 päivää vietimme Key Westissä. 100 mailin ajomatka "läpi meren" Key Westiin oli upea kokemus. Key West on tunnelmallinen pikkukaupunki ja Hemingwayn kotitalo tutustumisen arvoinen. Kannattaa tarkistaa tuuliolot ennen paluuta Key Westistä. Kovalla tuulella sillat suljetaan eikä lentokentälle välttämättä pääse toivotussa ajassa.

Kohteessa 2 yötä oli sopiva, ei yhtään enempää. Kaikki olennainen tulee nähtyä. Floridassa on paljon mukavampia ja siistimpiäkin paikkoja. Onneksi tämä oli matkamme lopussa, niin oli mihin verrata. Miami Beachilla oli kaikkein epäsiistein ranta, ja paljon porukkaa. Ehkä liikaa hypetetty mesta. Tuli Bulgarian Sunny Beach mieleen😁

Kiva eurooppalaistyylinen pikkukaupunki Floridassa. Etelästä saavuttaessa kannattaa ajella (jos aikaa) ainakin osittain A1A-tietä. Kauniita maisemia, enemmän nähtävää kuin tiellä 95.

Alkaen € 83 per yöHuone oli siisti ja vastasi odotuksiamme. Paljon parempi kuin muut kalliimmatkin hotellit missä olimme Floridassa ollessamme. Keskellä pihaa oli oleskelualue jossa oli keinuja ja istuinryhmiä. Respasta sai hakea teetä ja kahvia ja lisäksi huoneessa oli oma kahvinkeitin ja kahvi/tee tarvikkeet.

Perfect for a family getaway while in the Keys during low season (we can imagine how crowded this must get), conveniently located mid-way if you consider taking a break before Key West or going back to Miami- the unit that we were staying at was fully renovated and facing the water, away from the main resort building- which allowed us to see beautiful sunsets in a perfectly quiet environment as well as conveniently located walking distance from one of the restaurant and the kids pool.

It is a resort hotel- it’s huge, right on the beach, and with pools so you have a choice (depending upon weather/wind/currents). Everything is clean and everyone is smiling. Restaurants on site are versatile, there is a coffee shop and a gym, we had good, long weekend.
