The dinner was fabulous. We stayed three nights in a suite. We had Western dinner, 7+ courses, the first night, Japanese kaiseki the second night, and combination of the two the third night. The chef who cooked for us all three nights really did a wonderful job! Of course, the service was exceptional, and the suite exceeded our expectation.

The Japanese-style guestrooms offer both air-conditioning and heating facilities, and an en suite bathroom. Each room is equipped with a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and a TV with cable channels. This hotel is a little out of the way, but really worth it for the view. It's relaxing to see Nagasaki from above at different times of day. The staff were so friendly and always smiling and greeting guests, even giving us big waves as the station shuttle departed. I recommend taking advantage of the shuttle bus because while the city bus gets near the hotel, it's a steep mountain and the remaining walk is quite intense. The included breakfast was high quality.

Japanese-style rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding. Price quality, amazing onsen experience with tons of food in the morning and evening. The bath is very nice and is large! For the price this might be one of the better stays in Nagasaki. But only if you have a car rental. If the dinner is to expensive, only take the breakfast. It is located 400 metres from Nagasaki Museum of History and provides luggage storage space. The ryokan has family rooms. host was very good and responsive to our questions.
