They thought of us before us and shared all the details. My friend and I felt very comfortable. The only thing missing was the lack of a long mirror :)

The rooms are comfortable and the ideal opportunity to stay in a classical japanese room.

For your comfort, you will find bathrobes and slippers. Absolutely loved this place. The staff was incredibly kind, breakfast was great, and the beds were so comfy.

Guests can choose to stay in rooms with Japanese futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) floors or in rooms with Western beds on wooden floors. A fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included in each room. All rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a toilet and shower, while some rooms have a bathtub. Great staff and excellent breakfast. Also very close to metro station.

Ryokan Sansuiso is only 450 metres from JR Gotanda Train Station, on the Yamanote Line. It offers traditional Japanese accommodation with tatami (woven-straw) floors, futon beds and free Wi-Fi.

The air-conditioned rooms at Sansuiso Ryokan include a TV and yukata robe. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff who spoke good English but let us practice our broken Japanese and appreciated the effort. Room was comfortable, just beware of lower parts in the ceiling if you're above 5'8.

Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa is a 2-minute walk from Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station is a 5-minute walk away. The hotel offers Japanese-style accommodation with a free private bath and free internet. Very good location! The private bath it’s a 10/10.

Offering free bikes and quiet street view, Tokyo inn Sakura An is set in Tokyo, 200 metres from Tokyo Origami Museum and 600 metres from Chiisanagarasunohonno Museum. Housed in a building dating from 2018, this ryokan is less than 1 km from Kuramae Jinja Shrine and a 10-minute walk from Yokoamicho Park. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. This was one of my favorite accomodations in Japan. Out of all the budget 5 person accomodations we booked, miraculously the one in Tokyo ended up being what I thought to be the best deal. The host was exceptionally nice, he explained everything patiently and he was very happy to see I could understand a little Japanese which made explanations easier too. There were two bikes that we could use, a paid laundry right next door, and many extra amenities. In particular, the host left a massive amount of free snakes in the fridge and freezer as well as some cup ramen which was really generous and thoughtful of him. I was a big fan of the wardrobe rooms and in fact, it was the thing that caught my attention as it was basically identical to the kind of room the character Kagura stays in one of my favorite shows Gintama. On the topic of anime, there are a lot of funny Doraemon decorations and Doraemon inspired amenities that definitely added to the charm of this very clean and nicely located inn (5-10 minute walk from the Asakusa and Ginza lines).

Nobori is situated in Ome, 42 km from Mount Takao, 43 km from Fuchu Park, and 44 km from Fuchu Art Museum. The 2-star ryokan has mountain views and is 41 km from Tamarokuto Science Center. The accommodation features a public bath, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. This was a really special place, we were very well looked after. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a perfect base for hiking around Mount Mitake and there is a hot bath with an amazing view to finish off the day. We'll never forget our stay at Nobori - would definitely recommend it.
