We had thought (like all other places we stayed in during our D.R. visit) that there would be some things missing or not working. My wife and I were delighted by our stay in the Hampton in Boca Chica, near the airport. I felt like I was in Florida on several occasions during the visit. The room was superb and well-equipped, as well as spotlessly clean. The hotel had a new feel to it, and it may have been recently opened or renovated; I don’t know. The staff were more than helpful. One of them got the cook to make me a special Dominican breakfast (without my prompting him and something not on the menu or on display) and was a hoot. The hotel was full of customers, but you would never know that it was so crowded. The place was quiet with some gentle background music. Nice.

It was a pleasure to stay at Merengue Guest house. The accommodation is modern, beautiful and super clean. The bed is very comfortable. The house is pretty much secured and the owners live in the same House. You can feel safe and comfortable there. The owner showed us a second Appartement and it was as nice as the Appartement we booked. We booked the drive service as well. We got picked up at the airport and next day we got driven to a bus terminal for further travel. The owner was so nice and helpful and speaks English pretty well. Without asking for, he offered to call our next accommodation to ensure we take the correct bus. He even took some extra minutes at the bus terminal to help us booking the correct bus. We highly recommend this guesthouse!
