The hotel is located on a quiet one way rural road and is close to La Rochelle. Fabulous covered swimming in a fantastic garden setting. Breakfast is served in a delightful conservatory area. The whole experience was very relaxing. The room opened onto a terrace area with table, chairs and sun awning overlooking the lawn. The availability of a shared guest kitchen allowed us to shop in the local market, bringing back items to cook our own dinner. For anyone with particular dietary requirements this is a godsend.

Aude was the consummate host with a lifetime experience of the industry, her ability to warm and listen to all her guests was divine . Occasionally you would feel the need to back track through life in the hope of repeating the fond times you experienced , Terre en Vue would be this place for us, and we don’t do this often as the planet has to many places to discover for the first time. Walk to town is only 20 mins

This was a super property, probably worth more than a ten. Flo has really thought about how to meet her guests needs in every way, from the power points beside the bed and elsewhere, to additional hooks in the bathroom. A very comfortable bed with linen bed wear. Great shower and bathroom. Easy off street parking, secure property. A bonus was the full shared kitchen and communal living space for her guests. It was warm, dry and exceptionally well appointed. Communication with Flo was easy and timely. Location was good to get to La Rochelle, or local shops and restaurants 10 minutes away. This is the best place we’ve stayed in 5 months of travel this year.

We were welcomed with warmth by the woman in charge. The room was ready, clean and with a lot of little touches. The bathroom was lovely and modern. Added plus: the healthy and diverse breakfast that we had in the garden.

Mme Pourias was a very kind and helpful host despite the difficulty of neither of us speaking the others language, thank goodness for technology and a translator on our phone. She was attentive to my needs regarding breakfast, which were quite simple but options were offered. She was helpful with regards to places to go and things to do in the area and how to get there. Overall an excellent host whose house and gardens provide a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay that I would thoroughly recommend.

The pool is the main reason I booked and it’s a lovely size and clean with plenty of seating for guests staying in the 3 rooms. There’s a covered area at the back with a fridge/freezer containing various drinks and ice creams which you can purchase. Also a microwave/oven if you want to heat up food and there’s plates, cutlery glasses. The breakfast has lots of choice of fruit, bread, cereals, spreads etc. You can walk along the canal into La Rochelle in 45-60 minutes or go by bus. Valérie, Guilleme and their lovely Labrador Hulbert (hopefully I’ve spelled the names correctly) are very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
