Cosy pub in a quiet location with clean, comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we arrived close to the kitchen closing in the evening. A brilliant fresh breakfast in the morning too.

We loved this historic, characterful, building with its original beams, local draught beer and cider in the bar, lovely food, very comfortable queen-sized bed and charming hostess, Kate. Although we both have physical disabilities (my husband more so than myself) which made the stairs a tad difficult for us, we definitely wish to stay here again as a proper break and not just for an airport stopover.

Lovely pub, quaint and In a quiet location. We met the owner (I think it was) at breakfast who was very friendly and chatty. On arrival the Guys behind the bar were not so friendly or welcoming in our arrival. (No chat or even a smile) ! Food was generally good for pub food and reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Good location

Everything was simply perfect. Everything was utterly spotless, lovely personal touches, unobtrusive hosts but there if we needed them. Very private and quiet. Super comfy bed, slept so so well. Perfect for walking. Dog made very welcome with treats, bowl and towel. Great shower. Plenty of space. Fridge very handy and plenty big enough. The milk …. Oh my goodness, straight from the cow and utterly delicious ! Can’t wait to return !
