The "room" was actually a full corner of the house, an upstairs corner bedroom/hallway/bathroom suite. There were windows everywhere and a fabulous view of the Caerphilly valley. The castle is an easy walk away just down the hill, but far enough up the hill that it was silent at night. If you have a car, Cardiff is only an easy short drive away, so you could make this your escape-from-the-madness getaway.

Set 1.1 km from Abergavenny town centre, Cherryberry Lodges has barbecue facilities and garden. Quirky and comfy accommodation with a friendly and helpful host. Had my own lounge, which was nice.
