Cabins were neat and clean, and there was lots for the kids to do.
Had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner at RSL. Great variety and service.
Lunched at couple coffee shops,
Saw Woolies and Aldi, even though we did not need them.
Booked for luncheon cruise to Metung, but had to cancel - VERY sad about that. That is a MUST do while there. Easy walking around when weather is good.

Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit. I prefer out of season myself as I am older and on my own and it is quieter at that time. Great eating at the Central Hotel and the nearby coffee shop. (Bloody Good Coffee). There are lovely beaches and plenty of things for families riding tracks and mini golf. I enjoyed the boat cruises with Peels Cruises. The 70k was wonderful and then the lunch at Metung never disappoints. I think they are good value too. A good supermarket and other small shops. There is also lots to visit around the area and not far from Bairnsdale.
Well worth a visit........ weather is also surprisingly good all year round.

We were using Lakes Entrance as a stopover on our way to Sydney.
Very pleased with the area.
It was easy to walk around and had a good array of eating establishments - we had Fish and Chips from one of the local shops. the flathead was fresh and well cooked and the owners were very polite.
This is the case with most places.
Kudos to the Visitor Information Centre and the lady who served us

Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town. We were glad to see that it hasn’t become built up like other popular coastal areas. There are a few good options for food. The beach is beautiful and the coastline goes on for ages allowing you to have really lovely and Long Beach walks. There are heaps of opportunities for nature walks and a nice winery nearby. Highly recommend for a short trip!

There is heaps to do in nice weather with plenty of eateries and cafes. Beaches are great and theres many points of interest within a short enough drive of the main town such as Buchan Caves and the Metung Hot Springs and the old Stoney Creek Trestle Bridge is worth a look too. Its a very scenic place with walks aplenty and fisherman are spoilt for choice with or without a boat.
The cabins are perfect for a family outing, clean, warm, comfortable, quiet and beautifully landscaped. 2 rooms and 1 living room, the kitchen can also make some simple food, the facilities are complete, the price is very good, and the small animals also add fun to the journey. At night, the family lights a fire next to the cabin, looks at the starry sky, and chats. it’s perfect.
Location was perfect. A nice stroll to shops and sites. House was spotless and so comfortable that we felt at home. Beds, furniture perfectly comfortable for us. Garden is lovely. All amenities provided. what is advertised is what you get, so no complaints whatsoever.A fantastic getaway for quality family time.
This delightful motel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Staff very friendly and helpful, room exceptionally clean and well appointed. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to anyone travelling to Lakes Entrance. A wonderful find. Better bath towels than many 5 star hotels we've stayed in !
We have stayed here on multiple occasions for work. Rooms are always clean and tidy. The view from the accommodation is one of the best in Lakes Entrance. Close to some beautiful walks, quiet and peaceful and close to the Kalimna hotel. Staff are kind, friendly and accommodating.
Definitely value for money.
Location is very good....shops and cafe within 5 min walk. It was as described and mapped. Room was ok (as seen in the photo). Small kitchen was useful.
I was in a caravan park during my earlier visit to lakes entrance; I would say this accommodation is better in terms of location and facilities.
The Family room was a great size. The spa was excellent. Beds were comfy. Enjoyed the use of the kitchen and bath tub.
We travelled from Sydney and distance from Merimbula is over 3hrs. Hotel was perfectly located as I didn’t want to drive another 4hrs back to Melbourne.
The property was simple. No frills but comfortable for what we needed. I loved the art work. The chairs are super comfy in the lounge. We want to know where we can get some. The location is the best. Quite clearly the best place to stay if youre visiting Lakes Entrance
Our recent stay at The Central Hotel Motel in Lakes Entrance was only for one night as we were heading up to NSW and it was a nice stay.
The room was lovely and clean, the beds were very comfortable and the location was a bonus.
A nice place to stay and rest.
The decoration of the house is fabulous, European style. My family likes the house a lot, especially the old-style fire stove burning with woods. We also like feeding the king parrot everyday. What a beautiful bird!
The Yellow House is in a great location, walking distance to shops, coffee, and beach. It’s beautifully renovated and we particularly liked the outdoor deck in the back which was perfect for meals and chatting.
Good hotel for the price I've paid for. Standard level of comfort and quality of the facilities, not bad but also not great. It was not expensive so I guess their rates are in line with what they offer.
We liked the location of the hotel, and the bedrooms it is very near the gate that easy and also the facility offer the convenient and also the small pool and massage pool.
Clean and neat room. Warm welcome from Michael who checked how our stay was going each day. Amazing water pressure. Our family enjoyed the stay and will visit again.
Lot of space for family. Bed was very comfortable. House was clean and well looked after. Great location, walking distance to centre, supermarket, river and beach.
