Room was indeed quiet as requested, not because they've given us the requested top floor, but as we got lucky. Flamboyant receptionists presiding over well stocked bar- that's the ticket!

The property was stunning and brilliantly located near to the citadel and the cable car down into the town. The restaurant served excellent food and the trainees were fun and efficient. The room was comfortable.

Namur seemed fully booked, being a celebration weekend, but we found our stay in Jaumes was in fact perfect for our one night. Close to all amenities and after securely parking the car we spent our time exploring the nearby citadel and riverside. Might have to visit again to see Namur itself!

There's a gondola ride to the citadel where there's a visitor centre and a dotto train. There are boat rides on the river. There's a small park. It's ok for a day, maybe two, not longer.

Citadel was interesting, we did the underground tour and really enjoyed it. Cable car was fun, good views, busier going up than down. There are river boat tours too.
Town centre was pretty and nice for wandering around, plenty bars restaurants.
A good base for exploring the wider area.

Beautifull, not too big city with loads of visible history,...
Beautifull, not too big city with loads of visible history, characteristic buildings and architecture dating back to medieval times. A cosy but also mondain historic city center with loads of good bars and restaurants and cultural events. During daytime and summer its widely visited by tourists and one has to be able to accept that. Its logical when a city has that much to offer and is so hospital. Despite the Poor Hotel de Lives we stayed, the people in the city helped us out where we lacked knowledge of french language. A big difference with 30 years ago when peuple du wallon would not speak any other word then their french. Now I met people being proud to also speak dutch AND fair english, which is great when they work in hospitality or restaurants. From here a daytrip to Dinant where the saxophone was invented is worth the trouble as its only a half hr countryside drive. Every N road in belgium is worth roadtripping as there are objects everywhere. The highways are mostly flanked by trees, and often in not a good shape. I call them "launch surface" as on parts of the road 2 of 4 wheels are always detached from the road that bumpy it is. And that is fun but drive carefully and save, to see as much as you can. You can see the city and citadel in a day if you hurry a bit, but 2 nights/3days is perfect if you like to take things easy but want to see it all. It is also the capital of Wallonie, and a perfect base to make diverse trips in any direction, all reachable within half an hour. Brussels, Waterloo, Abbaye Villiers, Dinant, Coal Mines and streetart in Charleroi etcetera. Have fun!

The city has interesting places to visit but we were only there for a night, and after a long journey.
NB staying at the Youth Hospital is very inexpensive and convenient but you need to take your own towel.

I didnt rate the town.
I didnt rate the town. I was aiming for Dinant but as the train changed here and I was finding it difficult to get any rooms in Dinant, I thought id give it a go. It had been flattened in the wars so there was little left of the old town. I found it all rather seedy and with no bars or restaurants on the river side, just a road either side, I had to eat indoors. The castle grounds were nothing of note, just a wall and I timed it badly to visit the underground tunnels as the tours are mid afternoon only. I guess on a sunny day the view below would have been more pleasing.I wouldnt recommend it. Go straight to Dinant.
Le duplex d'Albert is a little apartment in Namur, very near to the city centre and with a private parking. This apartment is an attic with two floors, kitchen and dining room at first level and bedroom and bathroom at the second level. The apartment is very nice and confortable, with air conditioning and all that you need in the kitchen. There is also a balcony with a fantastic view on the Namur citadel. So this place is perfect to visit Namur or other little cities in Wallonie.
A very new stylish hotel on the outskirts of town. Ideal for a stopover as very easy to access off N4. Super shower and most comfortable huge bed. The restaurant next door is independent of the hotel but has a direct connecting door through from the hotel foyer. The food is excellent. Not cheap but a very good choice of dishes. So convenient as it meant after a full day travelling we didn't need to get back in the car to find somewhere to eat in Namur
A modern, eco-friendly and newly built hotel. Excellent location and closeby the train station and the city centre. Very pleasant and helpfull staff. A surprisingly good and discrete bar. Loved the well stocked breakfast.
The room was very clean, comfy beds and a good shower. Top marks, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!
Room was really nicely decorated, bed was more than comfortable. It was tricky to find the location, but a quick call fixed this small issue.
Location couldn’t be better - it’s close to everything you want to see in Namur and the check out hour was really comfortable for me (not as early as in other hotels!)
Our stay at Les Tanneurs hotel was absolutely delightful. The location is great with free parking, the room was spacious and the in-room sauna was an incredible bonus. The staff is very pleasant and breakfast had great selection. And above all - it's pet-friendly. We will definitely come back next year!
Great spot, though by nature a little far from the centre of town. Getting to town was easy on the cable car, however it stops running at 5pm so then you have to either get a bus or walk up the hill, which is what we opted for! Staff were lovely and we had everything we needed.
Terrace, bathroom, room, bed, all very big and confortable and spacious (handicap room so it was huge, and on the top floor, I loved it). Modern, new and clean. The staff was great too and having the bar and restaurant next door was a great plus as well.
A fine hotel right across the railway station and a 10 minutes walk from city historical centre. Although at first the building looks old and tired, the room is renovated, spacious and nice. Everyone was very polite and breakfast was nice too!
Clean, comfortable and very well equipped, Namur Energite is perfect for a short stay in Namur. We liked the location and the easy acces to the city center. Car parc possibilities are also positive aspect for your stay in Namur Energite.
Comfortable bed, and exceptionally good breakfast. The bar stayed open late into the night, and staff were always available. Free parking outside the hotel. Scenic view across the river. Close to the city centre and local attractions.
Lovely apartment in the centre of Namur. Quite small but perfectly adequate for two people. Good standard of furnishings and bathroom fittings. Lovely fluffy bath towels. Fan provided for the period of warm weather.
The location is perfect for exploring Namur. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is very good. There is a bar for drinks and an outside patio area for sunny days.
The elevator was broken while we stayed, but hotel already noticed us several time. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect for parking.
