It is a nice place for surfing and partying.
However it is in most aspects very expensive (there are many similar places around that are cheaper).
Even the city itself charges for everything (parking, tourist tax), I would not have been surprised to have to pay to use the loo. In general I had the feeling there is a gold rush attitude but the service provided in return is insufficient. (Bad value for money).
However this is not true for all places, there were some pretty nice restaurants.
Probably not the best place for relaxed beach vacation.

The best was the climate, the water, it was so safe to walk around, a real relaxed beach town where everyone was having a good time. Great that it’s a non vehicle town, lack of traffic a big bonus. The longer we stayed the more relaxed we were. We loved it.

It was my second trip to Jeri and I would love to return.
It was my second trip to Jeri and I would love to return. The atmosphere is very low key, lots of food options, little shops to visit and the beach is glorious.
You can choose to just relax at the beach or take one of the many tours available.
Only issue is the lack of banks/ATMs, so you need to bring cash if you prefer to pay this way but many of the restaurants/vendors take credit cards. If you are traveling from outside Brazil, you will not be able to use your debit card even though it has a visa/Mastercard logo.

We love Jeri !!! Specially my daughters,9 and 10 years old . We did buggy activities both side (oeste and leste ) I recommend do the OESTE first since is more fun !! The LESTE side is more relax , swimming and visiting the beach clubs and holes !!
The village is very safe and the people is very nice !!
Bonus tip : take only light weight clothes , like beach wear and only sandals like HAVAIANAS !! Don’t forget sunblock and hats with strings ! Also there is no mosquitos in Jeri !!

The town if very charming and cozy.
The town if very charming and cozy. Plenty of good restaurants, bars, shops, small markets. Some restaurants can be a bit expensive, averaging the price of big cities like São Paulo.
Great offers of activities and short trips to surrounding areas.

Jericoacoara is so overrated... it is a victim of its own...
Jericoacoara is so overrated... it is a victim of its own success. Basically, it suffers from mass-tourism. Natives basically moved out and left their village to whoever wanted to make money from European and wealthy Brazilian tourists. One pousada next to the other, intertwined with restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Its narrow sandy streets are cloaked with buggies, pick-ups and quads. In the evening, it is a cacophony of loud music, be it live or blasting from speakers in the many bars and restaurants which attract a noisy crowd until very late. The National Park experience is very disappointing, because everyday there are about a thousand buggies, pick-ups and quads running up and down the sand dunes, many blasting loud music. The tours are planned around private "attractions" with entrance fees and expensive service.
This hotel ia totally run down and needs renovation. The only positive point is its location on the beach.
Our room with balcony and sea view was miserable for its decoration. The noise and the smell from the terrace below is horrible. The whole hotel seems like a favela. Go somewhere else. Ridiculous price for the result. pictures are deceiving. lets not even talk ablut the pool. kids screaming everywhere. finaly be careful, this hotel NEVER replies to the phone
I stayed at Casa Gladius because both my travel companion and I wanted to experience Jericoacoara while continuing our CrossFit training. The on-site CrossFit box is excellent and brand new. The room is spacious and modern, and the Brazilian-style breakfast with tapiocas, juice, fresh fruit, and cakes is delightful. Fortunately, there was a good wifi connection, so I could work. I wish I could have stayed longer; I will definitely come back.
This is a nice boutique hotel in Jericoacoara with comfortable rooms and a pool that's open 24 hours. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is super helpful and nice. The concierge, Nayara, is super nice and really went out of her way to ensure I had a good stay. She helped organize tours and also allowed me to return in the afternoon to take a shower before taking a transfer to my next destination. I'd highly recommend this place!
since the day I booked the hotel the staff has been super helpful and always in contact with me. They are extremely kind and always willing to help. Very courteous and professional. The hotel was always spotless both in our room and in common areas. It is located on a quiet street, which helps in terms of noise. The breakfast was quite robust and we loved being able to choose items from the buffet or order some thing à la carte.
Hotel was well taken care of. Nice view and pool. Breakfast had a very good selection and had a warm a la carte menu. The breakfast lady was quite helpful and friendly in suggesting places to go and eat. The location of the hotel is in a very quiet area of the town but only a short 3-5min walk to the main square. The room was spacious, relatively quiet and clean.
It is a great value for money.
The staff was always super helpful, Gustavo and Silvio at the bar were amazing, the pool area is really good and the location is super convenient (3 min from the beach).
A plus for people looking for some party, the rooftop parties are complementary for the hotel guests.
The food and the drinks are also a great experience.
Everything. The always smiling staff and service were incredible. The hotel was small (19 rooms), intimate and beautifully landscaped. It was just outside of the main area of town on a Main Street but extremely quiet. The pool size was perfect. It was open 24hrs/day too!! Breakfast was exceptional. Again, the service couldn’t have been better.
This Pousada was a real gem! You can’t get a better location (very central), the room was comfortable and spacious with a big shower, and the staff were absolute lovely - very helpful, friendly and kind! The breakfast was hands down the best you will find in probably the whole of Brazil, we felt super spoilt! Thanks for an amazing stay!
Amazing hotel, modern and tasteful design, cozy leisure area, delicious breakfast (I don’t drink cows milk and the staff made sure I could drink my coffee with plant milk, I really appreciate it! :))The staff was very friendly, attentive and provided us with great restaurants recommendations. The stay exceeded my expectations!
The hotel is so pretty! Very comfortable and great location! We stayed in one of the bottom rooms, and honestly, we couldn't have picked a better room.
The breakfast was delicious! And the staff was so friendly and nice!!! the breakfast waiters and the afternoon bartender were the best!!! Loved this place!
Villa Kalango is a great accommodation. We would definitely go back. Jericoacoara is a very nice small village with a holiday vibe. The villa is exactly adjacent to the beach. Food is fantastic. Great breakfast , great lunch and nice drinks. Fantastic houses which feels like vacation 10.0
IT WAS AMAZING, It was the first hostel that I've ever been in my life, and everything was better than the hotels that I've stayed, THE BREAKFATS WAS AMAZIIIIING, thank you sooo much Jesus (the guy who makes the best breads and cakes in earth). The staff was simply marvelous.
The staff of the reception are wonderful, they are trained and they explain well the organisation of the hotel.
they also help with informations about the city, restaurants and tours!
the rooms are big, comfortable and very modern!
we loved it!
The two bartenders were tremendous Silvio and Gilbert - awesome guys who hustle hard and know everything about Jeri. Amazing drinks and service from them - no doubt a highlight. Alessandro at front desk was also quite helpful.
Best location, best structure, roomy, gorgeous, great food, great staff, honestly one of the best hotels I have travelled to in my life. The hotel has such a great structure, and beauty that it is hard to leave the hotel.
Perfect location, well decorated, very friendly & helpful staff. A great place to stay enjoy and have a relaxed holiday in the beautiful Jericoacoara. I will for sure come back again to this amazing villa 😎👌☀️🤟🏽
Very cosy vibes in the hotel, loved the pool and the breakfast! The staff is super welcoming and caring. Everything went perfectly well, thank you very much!
