Location was perfect. It is across the street from the lovely Kenora museum. We could walk everywhere we needed. The little kitchenette has everything one would need. Hosts greeted us on arrival with keys and answered any questions we had. We would definitely use the stone house again

Breakfast: first day came down to pick up breakfast for my aunt who couldn't come down.Then came down with the rest of the family.There was lots of people and very little food so we sat and waited for everyone to serve.At 9:00 we went to serve there was no bacon, potatoes and just a bit of eggs.We ask if he was going to bring more to be told breakfast was over .He refused to make food. The next day the lady was super nice and she served everyone to the end of breakfast time.Wonderful.

There was only 2 restaurants that had good food.
There was only 2 restaurants that had good food. The Iron Clay Coffee House and The Log Cabin Tavern were the two restaurants with excellent food. The other restaurants we went to were below par with their food preparation. No wonder some of the restaurants go out of business. The Hungry Pug restaurant, 901 Westside, and Ho Jo’s food preparation and quality of food was below par. Not good at all.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

This is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the summer but year round. Lots to do, the lake is grand, people friendly. Good variety of places to eat and drink. As the hotel had no food outlet we got our breakfasts at Tim Hortons and enjoyed the little drive. Lots of hilly roads which could be exciting or terrifying but all paved and fairly clear visibility. Winter could be tricky driving off the main streets! I would avoid booking late - and don't go if you book at last minute in the summer - don't settle for poor accommodations. Wait until there are lots of options. Consider a Bed and Breakfast if hotels not readily available. May cost more but likely more reliable and attractive.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

I'm originally from Kenora, so I go to visit my family (and Lake of the Woods) as often as possible. This was a wonderful, restful, clean, right-in-the-middle of Keewatin/Kenora hotel. My whole family was happy to stay here.JenniferCanada - 10Scored 10
It is an awesome town.
It is an awesome town. Beautiful views of Lake of the Woods and an easy place to walk everywhere from the hotel. They have a great walking/cycling path right across the hotel. Excellent town for water activities and a great fishing spot. You can also spot wildlife right in town. Some nice shops are worth visiting and a few good restaurants like The Boathouse and Lake Of The Woods Brewery which has it's own beers brewed on the spot and a nice restaurant on site too.ChristianCanada - 2.0Scored 2.0

Felt safe and secure and just rebooked to stay there on our drive home. The breakfast room was closed, other than coffee and hot chocolates (anytime) but they gave everyone a bag lunch in the morning- yogurt, granola bar, breakfast sandwich (which we could microwave in the room) and a bottle of water. The carpets were freshly cleaned- everything was great- will definitely stay there again and recommend it as a great to stay in Kenora
