Hotel was beautiful and well placed near the river. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They speak good English and helped us to book a tour with local driver and also book our bus to Longji. They coordinated everything and it wouldn’t be an awesome stay without their help. Highly recommended this place to all the foreigners.

Offering a restaurant, Yangshuo Mountain Nest Boutique Hotel is located in Yangshuo. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a balcony.

The staff were very warm and welcoming, they helped us book a taxi on a national holiday when we couldn't find one at all ourselves. The location is perfect, beautiful views, a little outside yangshuo but very close to li river and countryside for biking /hiking. The room was beautifully decorated but the amenities were not very good. Our main shower head was broken and only the small sprayer was working. When we raised this, we were told to just use the small one - really not ideal. Additionally, the room comes with a bath tub but they didn't have anything bathing products (bubble bath etc) which dampened the experience.

    Amazing scenery.

Amazing scenery. Definitely get out on a bike or electric scooter and go along the footpath next to the river. The evening light show is amazing and definitely worth going to, but it is expensive and, be warned, nearly all the spectators (a few thousand of them) will be on their phones and talking very loudly throughout the whole performance. West Street at night is worth seeing once. It is slightly tacky, but in a pretty way. Silver cave is very pretty and you get a free headset in English (presumably other languages too). I can't believe that Reed Flute caves in Guilin are better, yet they are a lot more expensive.

Nice "little city" and a good base to see Xingping, the Silver Cave, Ruyi Peak and of course the cormorants (in Xingping). I'd love to have done Xianggong Hill. Most tourists do one of the two shows but I watched bits of the video and thought, not for me due to our limited time. I think 2 dinners in West Street might have added a bonus. Oh, try to get your Didi working.

I think Yangshou shines the best when you are trying off the beaten path things: climbing, caveing, trying local food (not just Kung Pao chicken, come on) and renting a scooter. I'm genuinely impressed by the environment, people and abundance of culture of Yangshuo. I tried a lot of local delicacies including oil tea 油茶,snail noodles 螺蛳粉 and beer fish. Definitely something you won't be able to try anywhere else. I liked first two, not the last one :) I loved exploring surroundings via scooter, it is such a nice thing. And you have a chance to enjoy superb infrastructure of China. You won't believe me if I tell you that Yangshuo has highways with both motor- and bike- lanes. Simply amazing. I recommend trying outdoor climbing and even caveing. There are many great spots (ask your hotel host, they should be able to tell you). Come and enjoy.

For me, I went to Yangshuo for a relaxing getaway and that's just what I got. I don't know when the last time I have been this relaxed. I have friends who go there for rock-climbing and go a few times per year. The city is not very big so you don't need a lot of time going from place to place. I would advise to stay somewhere outside the city, like, within 5-6 kilometers and just rent a scooter. Actually, riding the scooter helped me get familiar with the city a lot better. And it's a form of meditation in and of itself, offering a bit of concentration as I got some sun on my face and cool wind in my hair.

Yangshuo is one of the prettiest parts of China in our opinion. The beauty of the Karst mountains is stunning and never bored us. The diversity of the mountains is a real treat for the eye. There are plenty of activities around like caving, climbing Moon hill, bamboo rafting the yulong river, exploring the environment on a rental scooter (¥30,- a day) or even helicopter and hot air balloon rides! Don't miss out on the local beer fish, a dish famous for a reason! Dine at Yangshuo Mountain retreat (the Brew) for the best tranquil dinner ever! Have lunch at 'Moon Hill restaurant' before or after climbing the mountain. The restaurant is located right next to the entry of the hill. Amazing view while eating local food. Take a few hours to visit the cable car, glass bridge and view platform of Ruyi park, lovely as well.

Yangshuo is located in the midst of a beautiful and tropical karst Mountain landscape and there are plenty of attractions ranging from caves to cable cars and tea plantations around, but the town itself is highly commercialised and most businesses cater to domestic package tourists.

The hotel is located in stunning area. The views of the river valley, the mountains and the sunrises were awesome. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Nobody spoke English, but despite that the communication was very good. Xianggong Mountain is a very short walk away and provides a fantastic view of the river valley. Xingping Town is a must see and the hotel provided free shuttle to and from the river ferry. The river is only a few hundred metres wide and so the ferry trip lasts just a few minutes.

The hotel is conveniently located just outside Yangshuo but very near the beautiful Yulong River area. It’s a quiet place with a beautiful garden. Downtown is a short bicycle ride away. Gary and his family are great hosts. They speak good English and can provide you with detailed information on all local attractions. My room had a nice balcony overlooking the fields and mountains. Great place for a sundowner. This is already my second stay there and I definitely will come back again.

excellent location to explore YangShuo. What really made our trip special was how helpful the staff was to help us plan our holiday in Yangshuo. Nothing was too much to ask. The staff helped us to organise taxis, lessons in Tea Tasting/chinese painting with minimum notice. They also helped us with payment to other providers when the payment method did not work. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay again

Yangshuo Village Inn is not fancy but it had everything we need. The staff were very kind and professional. They were willing to help us with travel tips and suggestions and did not try to make profits out of it. The food was great and good value. We brought wine and they set the wine glasses without charge. The building and the facilities are very well maintained. Our favorite was their bikes that we could rent for free.

The entire hotel was wonderful. It's small enough to have an intimate, friendly feel but big enough to have what you need. The pool was great. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and went out of their way to do everything we needed and more, with many extra, unexpected touches. The surroundings were peaceful. The restaurant has really delicious Western food for a pretty good price, and breakfast is also nice.

This gem of a homestay is conveniently located perfectly in central Yangshuo. Opposite Moon Hill, this hotel provides great comfort and lovely views from the restaurant. The girls who run the property are lovely and will assist you in your every need. The hotel provides a great array of breakfast choices and a mixture of Italian and Chinese food for dinner (I would recommend the local beer fish).

We visited The Giggling Tree based on the recommendation of a couple of friends and we’re very glad we did so. The hotel’s open area gives it a little village feel and the delightfully friendly staff, the rooms’s wooden floors and traditionally styled decor, and the picturesque scenery give it a charm difficult to match. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend.
