H2 Hotel München Olympiapark, hotel in Munich

Located in Munich, 1.7 km from BMW Welt, H2 Hotel München Olympiapark offers rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi.

The facility is modern, breakfast was very good, stuff is also very polite. The hotel is not in the top center of Munich, but at the opposite side of Olympic park. For me, this was not an issue, but rather a positive feature, there is a underground stop exactly in front of the building.

Conveniently set in the Berg am Laim district of Munich, gambino hotel WERKSVIERTEL is set 2.8 km from Deutsches Museum, 3.2 km from New Town Hall and 3.2 km from Mariensäule.

My second stay at this hotel. Perfect and quiet location right next to Ostbahnhof, supermarket and cafes around so buying breakfast in the morning isn't an issue. The room is very small, but comfortable. There's no desk but the windowsill can serve as a decent substitute for one person (I spent a day working from my hotel room and it was fine). Good wifi, helpful staff.

FAQs about hotels in Munich

Beyond Oktoberfest

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.

Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.

For great shopping, Karlsplatz is another commercial wonderland square that takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.

Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city centre from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.

The city is well worth the visit.

The city is well worth the visit. Although it suffered during the WWII, there are still many historical building and churches preserved. One can also take interesting one day trips from Munich. I went to view the castel Neuschwanstein and took an excursion to the former concentration camp Dachau. The art gallery has a precious collection of fine art from Middle Ages to present time.

Great city with great architecture, nice restaurants, and of course lots of activities. I personally love visiting the Viktualienmarkt, then having a coffee and a Rohrnudel at Cafe Frischhut, which is conveniently located right next to it. You can spend a lot of time people watching, and to see real Múnchner is fun. Loved climbing up the tower of St Peter’s Church and we were lucky to have great weather so we could see the Alps. A visit to Dalmayers, Manufactum and the famous Elli Seidl chocolaterie was a must. Best chocolate in town - for me at least A walk along the river Isar is also nice - you can sit right at the river and take a breather from traffic and people, quite chilled there

Munich has enough interesting places, museums, and restaurants to keep you busy for a week. You could probably hit the highlights in 2 full days, depending on your interests. Beware the weather in April! It rained and snowed the entire week I was there. However, the week before and the week after were sunny and warm!

We did not want this to be so, but our visit to Munich overlapped with the Octoberfest. We battled to find reasonable accommodation that is affordable, well located and pleasant. Very difficult because of the beer fest. The hotel however is a budgetary hotel, smallish room with two single beds pushed together. They were rather small with a very small duvet cover each. Though away from the city centre, the hotel is very close (50m) away from a major bus route. This worked very well.

The taxi service was excellent. Very friendly helpful staff at the hotel and we had a large room.. Good modern shower room. Great breakfast served at table not a buffet at present. It is a quiet residential area of Munich near Nymphenburg Palace which has large gardens and park (worth a visit... no need to book). It is easy to get to the city centre and there are good places to eat and drink nearby. An ideal location for us as we were visiting family in that area of the city.

The only pleasant experience of our 4 night stay was a staff member my the name of Natalia who was always smiling and even took the time to remember my son’s name. Overall though the hotel was very disappointing. We unknowingly came during the opening weekend of Oktoberfest and spent $325 per night for a hotel that is worth $75, at best. The location is so far from Old Town Munich yet they still charge $19 per day for parking!

We stayed in the hotel during the Oktoberfest season and it was one of the cheapest hotels available that is a ride away from Munich. The room was nice and clean with ample space for our stuff. The staff were nice and spoke English. Since it was too early for our check-in when we arrived, we left our luggage in the lobby and it was safe. It was also a few minutes walk from the train station. The wi-fi was great too.

Everything is just as you see in the photos, clean, modern, new. Rooms are cleaned every day, stuff is extremely polite and helpful. Location is perfect, in a peaceful city area, but on the other hand, only 30min slow walk down the city center. I have to admit I didn't expect to come back home with such a positive experience, but I really hope I'll be back in Münich and this hotel.

The hotel is 2 minutes from the U3 and U6 at Goetheplatz, which is 2 stops from the city centre at Marienplatz. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
