The property was clean and the room comfortable. I arrived late but the guardian was there to open the gate and assist with parking. It is convenient location near the airport. The room was clean and hot water in the shower. They do allow dogs so we stayed near the pool and there was a grassy area to walk our dog. Management was very accommodating. Breakfast is made-to-order. I would highly recommend to stay here! We felt safe and it was a bit like home.

Wonderful staff! Alex and Victor were very pleasant and helpful when we discovered that a teenager had left her phone on the plane. They tried several numbers and finally got through to a live person at the airline, and we got the phone back!
We left at 5 am and they packed “to go” breakfasts for us! Not a lot but got us onto our flight.
Right next to an nice park. Safe, clean business area.
Restaurant next door had good sandwiches and wraps, reasonably priced. The chicken-avocado arepa was a hit.

I loved this hotel and will stay there again upon my return to the Galapagos Islands. It is the perfect rest spot between flights back and forth to the US. The hotel is perfectly beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. The beds were super comfy. The little pool and lounge area with a full bar, although tiny, was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The room service was on time and delicious. I loved the buffet brunch served every day. It was spectacular. This was a great value for the money.

Currently, other than very specific areas, the vibe is not good. Security, soldiers and police abundant; and, lots of guns visible. Bars on EVERY storefront. Most stores you cannot enter; you ask for what you need and pay through the bars. And, with a curfew in effect, it’s weird to see absolutely empty streets when there are 3.2 million people living in the city! 😳

A beautiful, safe and welcoming city.
A beautiful, safe and welcoming city. People are nice and polite, the prices at restaurants are just fine and the transportation is easy to use and economic. Malecon 2000 was a really nice tour. Also you can find many gastronomic options and delicious dishes. We would definitely back there

It's a nice town!
It's a nice town! It's so nice to walk along the Malecón where you can find some cafes, children´s playground, parks, and the ferriswheel. I appreciate the free (and clean) bathrooms (though you have to pay a few cents for toilet paper - if the dispenser is not running out of it) and free power supplies to recharge your phone all over the place! (bring your charger) I arrived in Guayaquil at around 2 pm on a Friday and left at 7 pm on a Monday, so I had about 4 days, which I think a bit too long. I could have left on Sunday instead. Overall I felt safe but I do take precautions, keep my backpack in front of me, never put it down in public places, etc. El Cerro de Santa Ana is nice. There are only 440 steps to get to the Lighthouse las Peñas, which is cute. You can see some free roaming iguanas at el parque Seminario in front of the Cathedral. It has a small pond full of fish and turtle, some are endangered kinds. It´s quite entertaining. The park is not big though and it´s full of vendors selling stuff. Be careful, do not stand under a tree, you might get ´rained on´ by iguanas perching on a branch above you. I also walked around Malecón Salado but it was deserted (sad). I also visited Isla Santay. A long walk from the city crossing a pedestrian bridge to go over to the island then another 1.7 km boardwalk to arrive to the village. Not much to see there and the boardwalk is in a dire need of repair. There are lots of holes caused by damaged, broken woods so cycling is not recommended. I booked a tour to see bottled nose dolphins but was cancelled due to low number of participants.

I enjoyed my time.
I enjoyed my time. I was only on foot, so there are a few things I may have missed without traveling by car that I will visit next time.
I felt safe walking alone. I enjoyed the live music along the water (the water is not an attraction).
Ecuadorean cuisine is outstanding and they did the very best to present it to us during breakfasts and additional meals we requested. We were all there during the crisis with terrorism that accosted the country. The owners asked me, a musician, to play for the guests at a time during which everyone was distraught. Their concern for everyone's well-being and safety were quite moving. I was very reassured that this was perhaps one of the safest places in Guayaquil!
I am not sure why the ratings are so bad because I had a pleasant stay. Ivan at the reception was very helpful and nice, he helped me find a room to check in early because I had a problem with one of my feet. The room I had was on the 7th floor, hot water in the shower was working, had fresh towels, TV and Aircon. The hotel is also very good located, around the middle of the Malecón and 3 minutes away from the Museum of Guayaquil. Thank you very much, I'll come back!
Very spacious and comfortable rooms, all areas in the hotel were very clean and well kept. Our rooms had a dressing room and modern bathroom with walk-in shower. The rooftop terrace with pool was an extra bonus.
The hotel felt very safe and is in a great location close to airport and local bars and restaurants. Hotel staff and management were exceptional! Everyone went out of their way to help make our stay comfortable and memorable.
The staff was super helpful. The restaurant was overpriced with bland food (they used a hot dog bun for a hoagie sandwich) but overall it served our purpose. It was nice that they served a breakfast. Good location and again the staff was really attentive. Simple room but clean. It’s not a destination hotel but if you’re looking for a place near the airport for a good value this is it
Excellent experience at Guayaquil during Medical meeting Hotel, people ,facilites All profesional ,charming and cómitres to do our stay as best as imagines

Perfect location. Very kind staff (Karen is the best!). She gave me a great recommendation for bolon only two blocks from the hotel. It’s called Sun Coffee. The air conditioning works very well and it is necessary in the climate of Guayaquil. The bed was comfortable. Great stay. Very recommended!
I was impressed by how good this place was and by hospitality of the owner of the hotel Johanna. She helped me and my mother with calling taxis, gave me directions and travel suggestions in Guayaquil. I and my mother are going to stay at this place again when we conculde our travels in Ecuador.
Perfectly safe situated right across the Malecon
Staff was very friendly and helpful, the food (breakfast and dinner) was good, bed comfy. The Hotel organised the transfers to the airport and it went very well. I would stay there again! :-)
close to the airport, spacious rooms are in front of the swimming pool ! Ideal for a family with kids, they will enjoy the large swimming pool. Call restaurant outside at 15 meters away with typical ecuadorian food grilled at a bbq
Very convenient hotel fora stopover in Guayaquil. We just had a 7 hours connection to galapagos late night so wanted the closest hotel to the terminal and the HIG is walking distance. Very clean and confiortable.
Hotel in very safe area (somewhat important in Guayaquil). Spacious room and common areas. Comfortable bed. Nice food & drinks at hotel restaurant/bars. Friendly staff. Impressive massage services at the spa!
amazing! very modern hotel, super friendly staff, free airport transfers, huuuuge and comfy beds and a good shower! also restaurant on site was affordable and had great vegan options! also two malls nearby!
The hotel is located in a beautiful historical area of Guayaquil with gorgeous sights as you walk the streets. It is also centrally located within walking distance of several good restaurants.
Excellent location with a taxi cost $5 from airport. The front desk girl was really friendly. You can ask her everything you want to know and what you need. Makes you a good start in Ecuador.
Very professional and polite staff. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. I enjoyed the hospitality and will always stay at Hotel Puerto Pacifico when I travel to Guayaquil.
Very comfortable hotel with excellent staff, nice restaurant and a good bar very near to the airport. There is a nice shopping center very close to hotel as well.
The room is very Comfortable, Clean and very well organized! 5 mins away from the airport and food was perfect! Always choose this hotel when staying in Guayaquil!
