Bag-de-B, as it appears on many road signs, is in the middle of mountains for hiking, and skiing, and bicycling. There are several Tour de France summits (cols) and we passed lots of cyclists making the ascents. It was fun to watch them reach the top and jump around. We also enjoyed touring the neighboring towns and just driving the bucolic roadways off the beaten path. The high point of the visit to Bag-de-B was the Saturday market. If you can schedule it, you will enjoy the transformation of the town for half a day.

Bagneres is quite a large busy town but not especially attractive for the tourist. It is however in an excellent position for visiting the mountains and passes of the Pyrenees. It is also not far from Lourdes.

The two ladies who run this hotel are its saving grace: they are warm, humorous, and very helpful. This is a rather old-fashioned French hotel. Although the furnishings may not be exactly a la mode and the plumbing is rather eccentric, it is clean, comfortable, and everything works. They serve an excellent breakfast The hotel is in the centre of Bagneres and it is good value for money.
Great central location in the charming little town of Bagnères de Bigorre, which a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The property is clean and stylish and was exactly what we wanted for a short break out of the city. The hosts are friendly and available and we had everything we needed.
A friendly hotel located in the heart of Bagneres de Bigorre, with all the main shops and restaurants a very short walk away. The room was a good size, clean, and with a great bathroom. Everything worked, and the accomodating owners found a secure store room for my bicycle.
