Excellent location, a bit noisy at night but the fan was enough to drown the noise out. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and made the stay far more pleasant and enjoyable as a result.

Try a fairly new restaurant, la table du maché. Very reasonable, no alcohol but who needs it when a lovely brochette of chicken with salad. Chips and roquefort sauce + bread is €14.50

A real find - not very touristy. Very friendly.
A real find - not very touristy. Very friendly. Great old town with lots of restaurants. Excellent street market (Saturday). Brilliant base to explore the two parks , Chartreuse and Massif de Bauges.
Much better than tourist swamped Annecy (do day trip only and avoid weekends!).
Do not miss a walk up to Charmettes.

I didn't think the hotel was as easy to find as others have suggested. The underground parking is good..... HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO BOOK A SPACE BEFORE ARRIVAL. This is not highlighted on the Booking.com website

The town is wonderful.
The town is wonderful. Old stonehouses and also palaces and great administrative old buildings in baroque and classical styles. Surrounding mountains add to the views. Sadly you could see quite a lot drug users and homeless and unemployed people.

We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere to stay overnight that was conveniently close to the motorway. The Chambery Ibis hotel ticked all the boxes and allowed us to continue our journey completely refreshed, at a very reasonable cost.

My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake ..
My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake .. after email and 3 phone calls he could not get any result.
We are still trying to have his property returned .. the receptionist keeps saying they do not speak English and tell him to phone back.
Very distressing.
The property was on the second floor of a unique historical building located in the walking area of Chambery where there were many restaurants, shops, and things to do. The suite was clean, nice and quiet. The shower was wonderful and the in room expresso machine was nice as well. It is self service check in etc which was a bit confusing but ok once we figured it out. We were able to talk with the housekeeper daily and get clean towels etc.
I picked this hotel in Chambery as the least expensive in the area. I did not have high expectations but I was incredibly surprised by how the personnel was available and nice, the location absolutely amazing (nightlife venues a few meters away) and room features. Parking areas a few meters away too (you can use EasyPark app). I will definitely choose this hotel for my next stays in Chambery!
Our car broke down and we stranded in Chambery. We had to find a quick hotel to stay. The hotel has no character everything looks fake and the rooms are very small and dark with a smelly carpet. However the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is convenient next to the station but definitely not recommend for a longer stay.
We had a lovely large room on the ground floor which was beautifully furnished, a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The grounds of the hotel are also very extensive and truly lovely
We ate a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant which had an excellent menu
Lots of good options for the excellent breakfast buffet
The hotel is very convenient to Chambery, close to the center but reachable by car. It also has a private parking, charged 10e a day. We went during Covid and the staff decidedly walked the extra mile to adapt to the pandemic and ensure a take away, tasty breakfast service anyhow.
The hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and they speak good English. There was enough parking, which is behind a fence and looks secure. The location is on the edge of the town which is ideal for short stays for people who are having a sleepover while traveling.
The two bedroom suite was really perfect for a family with two kids. It was quiet easy to unload the car in front of the hotel and the public parking is just around the corner. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cheap and cheerful! The hotel is basically on an industrial estate, but was close to our "through route". The room was very compact, but clean and adequate for a single night. Receptionist was very helpful, and breakfast was surprsingly good
My name is Tine, my brother and his girlfriend booked this hotel for 2 nights for me and my boyfriend, plus another friend of his.
Best breakfast I ever had, the waiters are professional an super kind. Very modern and spacious rooms.
Excellent stay. The hotel is very clean nicely furnished. The room was very large with a balcony and nice view to the mountains. The lifts are large and no long waiting. The breakfast is very rich. The staff is very nice and helpfull.
Just outside Chambery but peaceful and rural.
Staff were charming and went the extra mile - directed us, upon departure to the cheapest tankful of fuel that we found crossing Western Europe?
Easy car parking within sight of your room.
Apartment was beautiful and centrally located in Chambery. Katia was so helpful in helping us find it on the busy street. We only stayed one night but would highly recommend!
