Ferney-Voltaire's value lies mainly in the fact that it is linked to expensive Geneva: busses go between the two and you can walk across the border. However, the little town also offers excellent bakeries, supermarkets, green spaces and parking. Importantly, there is also easy and regular transport to Geneva airport, though make sure you know how to get to the Swiss side or the French side for departing flights. Nice location. Quiet at night. Staff were nice. Room was clean and very functional. Breakfast was also great with really good selection. If you rent a car, the parking was suitable. Very nice surroundings and very convenient to go to the city.

Just another cheaper alternative for Geneve on the French side. It's rather suitable to those, who need the airport, for all the rest you better choose Annemasse, which is connected much better with Geneve and has more to provide on its own either.

Currently the area feels like a building site (June 2023). It’s is very dusty at times and the pavement on the walk to the hotel was full of rubble, which wasn’t easy to navigate through with a suitcase on wheels. There is a lot of building work going on just outside the centre of town and it can be noisy for hotel guests

Besides proving more comfort at lower prices than Geneve, the Ferney-Voltaire is always revoking thoughts about life of the great philosopher and poet as well as providing interesting views of the rural France.

Ferney is of course the jumping off point for Geneva.
Ferney is of course the jumping off point for Geneva. The fact is though that it’s got a good selection of groceries, lots of great restaurants, stores, banks, transport etc. it’s also pretty and has a lovely Saturday market with tons of affordable high quality food. The history drew me to Ferney as well, since it’s been hundreds of years of it being where people go to get away from how dull Geneva can be haha.J

The location was 15 minutes from Airport and main City by frequent and reliable public transport. The pickup of key from nearby reception at local hotel was well organised and happened exactly as stated by the owner. The Owner provided a bus timetable which allowed us to use the buses to meet tours in the City and also get to the airport at the end of our stay. Met the Owner by chance on the last day and he was a friendly and considerate young man. Would recommend this place.

You can reach the hotel from airport by bus 66 and you can go to Geneva center by bus F, where the bus stop is very near to hotel. Hotel is in the heart of Ferney, where there are bakery, patisserie, carrefure around it. It is an old building but really perfectly clean! We loved to stay there, strongly recommended! It is not worth it because the taxi alone was triple to what the room cost. If you are trying to do an overnight stay near the airport by using public transportation, you are better at doing something that you may pay more, but the commute expenses would be less. This hotel is not the best for families. They have too many activities

The rooms and furnitures are very new with lots detail designs. Lots storage space. There are little restaurants and supermarket near the hotel, so even we arrived in late night, we were still able to have a good dinner and shop for foods. Parking is free and very close. Overall, we love this hotel.
