This property is located in the sweet spot in fabulous Luberon. It offers large and green grounds and space, which is really nice after the rather narrow streets and spaces in the perched villages.
It wasn’t warm enough to go swimming but the pool looked lovely .
Staff is super friendly and helpful in giving us tips for hikes. The food in the restaurant is great, with enough of vegetables. The breakfast is of good quality and abundant, with a friendly lady helping out.
All in all we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this place for other couples.

The buildings and location were fabulous! Full of character, extremely comfortable and very relaxing. A genuine borie is part of the house: amazing! Delicious breakfast with an array of jams and honeys beyond belief! Lovely pool, heated! Tempted my husband in, but not quite me in mid October! Easy walking distance into town, but removed enough to be thoroughly immersed in phenomenal views all round. An absolute treat. And the family dog is a delight!
This traditional Provençal farmhouse is located on a large private property with panoramic views of the Luberon countryside.

A beautiful property, run with great attention to detail . Jean Luc is an exceptional host and his support staff are engaged and very responsive to the needs of the guests. The pool is lovely and a great asset on a hot day . The view is outstanding . Its a short walk into the village and we enjoyed the fact that we were a little removed from the hustle of the village itself .

If you're planning on driving here with a rental car please be aware that it is extremely busy and the roads are incredibly narrow. My experienced driver was uncomfortable with parallel parking next to a precipitous drop The view that you often see in photos from the lookout near the village is beautiful but what you don't see are the lines of other people waiting to get the same shot. In short, it's incredibly touristy which does take away from the quaint ambiance I was looking for. We also visited Fontaine de Vancleur and found that village to be more manageable in terms of crowds, parking, and driving.

Gordes is a magical town, it's all walkable and you'll have plenty of choice for restaurants, be careful not to set out for dinner too late though as places seem to close quite early.
We had a fantastic meal at La Trinquette which I highly recommend. There's also a lively outdoor bar/restaurant opposite with a view!
If you're staying in the area and have access to a car, make sure you check out Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque for it's beautiful exterior lined with Lavender (no need to get sucked in to the hour tour), also be sure to visit Le Sentier des Ocres, Roussillon is a stunning town and the orange Quarry is definitely something not to miss!
Parking can be quite tricky in the very heart but it's a small town and two mins up the road is a massive car park.

Gordes is a beautiful medieval village with lovely shops and restaurants and stunning views. It has a wonderful market every Tuesday morning. However it can get hectically busy during the day as it is phenomenally popular with tourists. It’s best to visit it early, around 10 am, and even at 9am on market day. Limited parking if one is not staying within walking distance nearby

Gordes is a beautiful town with amazing views, some nice shops, several good restaurants, lovely village market on Tuesday mornings.
Stayed on the hill leading up to Gordes, about a 10 minute walk from the city. Perfect location - got some exercise walking up every day, but had enjoyed the space and quiet of being outside the village
Ate at several restaurants in Gordes. Most enjoyed our meals at L'Outsider and Le Garden.
We visited early June. The village had lot's of tourists but wasn't too busy overall. Expect it would be much more crowded in July and August

Gordes has quite a lot of history which is very informative and interesting.. However in the actual village itself there is not a lot to offer. La ville sous la ville is very interesting.
The surrounding villages of Gordes are perhaps more interesting with markets and local cuisine. Lourmarin is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in Gordes for three nights.
We stayed in Gordes for three nights. Three full days would have been fine but we lost a day going back to Aix en Provence for a private cooking class.
The Luberon area is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed visiting many villages. Would highly recommend. Must have rental car.
Beautiful accomodation, run by a beautiful family. Despite my partner and I not speaking any French we were made to feel extremely welcome and had a magical stay. The room was large and immaculately put together, the pool and garden area was beautiful and a lot of the time we had it to ourselves. It is a 10/15 minute walk into the middle of Gordes with a spectacular view of the town both ways. Highly recommend and thank you Mathilda, Franck, and Stephanie for an amazing stay!
Great pool area and very good breakfast. Great location very near Gordes (but would be a difficult walk because it is on narrow windy streets and would worry about getting hit by a car). Room was comfortable and towels very good. Front desk was helpful in booking restaurant reservations for us. Nice flowers and plantings on the grounds and lots of places to cozy up with a book.
This was an exceptional experience, not only is the hotel beautiful in every regard, Regis and David were incredible in how they cared for us. They literally helped us plan each day out including where to visit and dine. Their recommendations were perfect to a tee. It made our stay on Provence one of the most memorable vacations we have ever had.
Thank you so much!
The house was in a quiet complex, location was great, Gordes is very nice. The house had everything we needed. It was very comfortable. Kids really enjoyed playing outside. Everything was great! The host was amazing, she really helped us with a lot of information and we had such a warm welcome. I would really come back anytime! 😊 Thank you, Anna!
This hotel is beautiful, room is lovely and exceeded our expectations. Pool is so calm on an afternoon to cool off and sun loungers very comfy too.
So many options for breakfast, and freshly baked good each morning.
Staff were lovely and very helpful.
We loved this stay so much!
There is a little supermarket in Gordes town that we went to.
Unbelievably delightful boutique hotel in a wonderful location. Amazing views, great terrace and pool, delicious breakfast, super-friendly and helpful staff, parking available. We are so happy to have found this hotel and stayed here. Would most definitely stay here again. Absolutely wonderful in every respect. 11 out of 10!!
We loved everything about our stay at La Bastide. There are outstanding views, big rooms, nice decor, and very helpful and attentive staff. Amazing breakfast with a big selection of different dishes. One of the best hotels we ever stayed at. We are already planning our next visit to La Bastide. Definitely recommend that place.
The place is a 5 star! The family , the facilities, the surroundings are more then 10. The room was amaising, all what you need.
Well located for visiting the most popular places of Provence.
Last .... , the breakfast!! Sitting in the garden and having one of our best breakfasts. Dear family, we will be back!
Great location, great breakfast, great service. Just a short picturesque walk into Gordes, where we loaded up on fresh fruit and picnic tapenades at the local farmers market. Our hosts were super helpful in retrieving some items we had left behind.
Hosts were great and made you feel so welcome to their home. Totally appreciated their input as to where we should spend our limited time in Gordes. Made all the difference in the world in terms of really appreciating this wonderful area.
Very peaceful setting near Gordes. The hostess was very helpful. It rained in the morning and she brought an umbrella to our room so we would stay dry taking the short walk to breakfast. We would stay here again!
It’s a spotless fantastic property about 3km from Gordes. The house used to be an olive oil mill. It is beautifully decorated.
The owners are súper friendly and their home made breakfast is the best.
The pool area was wonderful and the location is great, close to the famous villages of Provence (Gordes, Goult etc.). The outdoor area of the premises are very well maintained.
Absolutely beautiful property with gorgeous views. Close to Gordes with wonderful restaurants and views. Excellent breakfast and a peaceful, calming environment.
