I like it’s near the motorway as travelling from Roscoff to Cannes -always a great sleep here as beds are so comfortable and good breakfast. Work’s ongoing there in March but didn’t disturb us.

If you are looking for a special experience, I recommend...
If you are looking for a special experience, I recommend staying her. The building and grounds are an an actual castle built in the Italianate style (think Romeo & Juliet). The host and hostess were most accommodating. The grounds are extensive and include a very nice campground where the spaces are privately spaced with bushes & trees in between. There are laundry facilities. Some spaces have amazing views. The swimming pool is very large, with a play tower and two water slides. Our room was more than adequate, quite clean, with a balcony and a wardrobe.MicheleUnited States - 6.0Scored 6.0

A convenient stop over town with a carrefour for cheap petrol and food for the onward journey. Closed on a Sunday evening. We drove around town, but difficult to find a restaurant on a Sunday evening. Had to eat in a horrid Buffalo grill next to our hotel.

We had no time to visit Issoire.
We had no time to visit Issoire. We only wanted an overnight stop. For that purpose the Ace was perfect. Very close to junction 12 on the A75 -- easy to arrive and depart. The hotel was simple, clean, the room comfortable and larger than many motels. The breakfast was copious and offered a good choice of high quality food.

Location is superb, it is just outside of the town centre so a very short walk for bars and restaurants. Perfect as a base for a tour of the Auvergne Easy to find. We could write an essay on this place but you need to stay for yourself. On a return to is as Issoire, we'd definitely stay again.

Very convenient to motorway too as an overnight stop. Much nicer than a hotel. It’s a nice old building with high ceilings, renovated and comfortable. Coffee and tea provided. Cooking facilities and washing machine too if you’re that way inclined(!)
